As of 11/05/2024 I am extremely disappointed with the outcome at this dentist office. I scheduled an appointment for my wife’s wisdom tooth extraction, and what should have been a smooth procedure, turned into a nightmare. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed same day at Sunnyvale Dental Care in 2022. It went smoothly with far less complications. First, they told us our insurance would cover most of the procedure, but they brought up an unexpected fee of $898 to have platelet-rich plasma aka “autologous blood concentrate” that wasn’t covered through the insurance, and that the Dr. would not move forward with the procedure because this was imperative. That it needed a specialist in order to have it done without it. After doing some research this has nothing to do with the procedure but only affects the healing AFTER oral surgery. The procedure time was far longer than expected, with little communication from the staff. When the dentist finally finished the procedure she was left in far more pain than what was promised, after being told explicitly, it wasn’t going to happen for the additional treatment. I also felt that they manipulated the situation being that my wife was in pain prior to the surgery, young, and inexperienced. They didn’t explain the aftercare instructions clearly, and I had to follow up multiple times to get answers to basic questions. Now she is dealing with lingering pain and discomfort that could have been avoided. I would not recommend this office for anyone needing wisdom tooth surgery.

Dr. Lou has been my dentist for over 20 years. The office staff is very professional and I love that they are very efficient with the appointments.

From basic cleaning, fillings, crowns, extraction, and emergency dental implants (yes I've need all that work done), Dr. Lou is unbelievably amazing. Even back to back root canals were painless! Front desk and dental assistants are unmatched and welcoming. You can watch TV. If lucky, they'll get you coffee and a snack if needed! Best dentist ever.

Dr. Lou has been my dentist for many years. She did a beautiful job of replacing my old silver amalgam fillings with modern composite fillings, sculpting them so naturally it looks like I do not have fillings at all.

My mother in-law had been going here for around 10 years out of convenience. The husband of the Doctor has always been confrontational, Unfortunately she had canceled an appointment and the owners husband argued with her and told her she still owed $75 for a appointment that was not canceled on there part. She was told if she didn't pay the $75 for the other appointment they did not cancel she could not be seen. The owner told not to come back. Which is ok but be warned they do not care about the patients they only care about the money.
