I agree with many of the other low review ratings about this office. The office manager Sandra is very rude, after being on chemotherapy I had gained about 10 lbs and she commented that I had gained weight.. saying’ oh it looks like you gained a little weight’. Unfortunately I still continued to receive cleanings at this office for years and completely regret it. I was so put off by her behavior and comment I immediately thought she must be a miserable person. The only one I loved there was their sweet hygienist I continued my svcs there. They also charged extra svcs above and beyond what is called normal service, later to find out I did not need the svc. Both the Dentist and Office Manager were the absolute rudest to me I had never experienced this type of behavior anywhere. I immediately found a much better office who is most friendly, kind and supportive as I am still going thru chemotherapy treatments. I would not recommend this office to anyone who wants to be treated professionally and kind and if you do you will know exactly what we are all talking about…

My family has been going to ND dental for about a year. They refuse to do teeth cleaning without adding extra charges. After talking to Delta Dental Insurance representative, I was told that this practice is illegal. Also it gave me a filling that fell out in five weeks. The dentist refuse to even see me for that. I hope the dentist will see me after reading this post!

My insurance coverage under Medicare Advantage Plus clearly covers free annual cleaning and many other basic oral care services with no copay required. I pay extra for the highest level of service they offer and typically don't have to pay co-pays at other providers. ND Dental Care is a contracted to provide the services at no cost according to the representative at my insurance plan and they are assigned as my primary dentist. However, when I attempted to get a basic cleaning today, I was told the co-pay was $65. When I protested that my plan is for zero co-pay for this service, I was again told it was $65. So I declined the service and left.
I called customer service at my dental plan and was told they were violating the contract and suggested I file a grievance (which I plan to do).
I'm not sure why they did this as I always felt welcomed at this dentist in the past with my prior insurance. I can only guess that the business doesn't like customers with Medicare Advantage Plus for some reason.
My family had been going to this dentist for the past 5 years but we are now taking our business elsewhere.

After spending two years with my regular dentist and being dissatisfied with the work being done to my teeth, I decided to go see Dr Dobrescu.
She was WONDERFUL, in four hours she got everything I needed done that the other dentist I was seeing couldn't do in multiple visits.
Not only are her prices reasonable, but also she will give you a discount if you need a lot of work done.
She is a GREAT dentist with routine work, but also is SUPERB WITH COSMETIC dentistry.
She will understand what you want to have done, and will recommend what is the best for you.
She takes the time to explain everything.
The lab she works with is also wonderful, they got the color and size right with one attempt for my 10 crowns.
The office itself is very new and state of the art. Her staff is FANTASTIC and her hygienist is great and very through.
You get to watch tv while having your teeth worked on as well.
I drive one hour 15 minutes to her because I will not trust anyone else with my teeth.
If you are considering Narcisa Dobrescu, just do it, you will not be disappointed

I've seen Dr. Dobrescu for my dental needs for about the last 8 years! Her office in Laguna Woods is clean and spacious, and I've never waited for longer than 10 minutes! She is gentle, and when she can't be, she is generous with numbing medication! 🙂 One thing to note is that she made a point to let me know i could bring my baby to my appointments if I was ever in a pinch! I highly recommend her and her team. You won't be disappointed!

Dr. Dobrescu has been my dentist since I was a teenager. Our prior dental office was sold to a new dentist who was too rough so my mom found Dr. Dobrescu. She's amazing, always upbeat, cheerful and most importantly for a dentist, gentle and considerate. My entire family has followed her anytime she ever changed offices even though we come all the way from northern Orange County. To anyone considering trying out her services, she's truly top notch.
