The person who does intake for mental health, Ms. Patterson, makes this feel more like a hostile environment than a supportive one. If your experience doesn’t match her preconceived notions of how events “typically” go, you’re accused of lying. This appointment was not only a waste of both our time, but amplified the stress I was being seen for.

Been here for roughly two years and I have not had a bad time at all. Most of the negative reviews seem like they may be a bit misguided by thinking they are owed customer service, like out in the civilian sector. I show up early everytime and usually get taken in early. Even had a small surgery there with no issues and the pharmacy for my family and I have been great. Mental health services have also been top notch, very understanding and accommodating. A positive attitude can go a long way. Keep up the good work.

Called and pressed the menu option to speak to the "duty desk specialist" for questions that I have to be answered. She did not state her name when answering the phone, but her attitude and phone presentation sounded to me like she was annoyed and was over with the day. I could barely hear her as it sounded like she was talking low, was very short with me with her responses. This encounter was kind of discouraging.

How you guys even have a 2.5 star rating puzzles me. I was told to come in at 9:30 for an appointment but the appointment was actually at 9:10, still I came in at 9:23. Apparently there's this unwritten rule where no one told us anything about being 10 minutes late is considered a no show? So they wouldn't see to my appointment, and made a reschedule for the afternoon( thank you by the way 🙏). This time I came in on time, but have to wait for 45 minutes until I was called in, and I finally got to see the Dr. but was met with impatient and unprofessionalism. I get it you're human and probably stress and you were all over the place, but if you don't have the time to take you're time to help and care why even become a doctor in first place. Do better LTJGR. This is only a Navy base imagine a real hospital with civilians constantly coming in and out. The HMs were nice though.

If I could leave zero stars I would, this place is awful Julie the front desk lady is very rude doesn’t answer the phone. Showed up within the 10 minute grace period but she sat there talking to her friend making me an additional 10 minutes late, then had the audacity to say I was too late.

It's not a hospital with like an ER. The urgent care did just re-open though. It really depends on who you get for a nurse/MA and a Dr. for what kind of experience you're going to have. I've really learned you have to patient advocate for yourself with some Dr's and nurses more than others. Sometimes though, the corpsman who schedules you, cant even make an appointment to be seen because their system doesn't go out past a month (what I was told), or the next appointment is 2-3 weeks out. So you really utilize the urgent care and ER around here when you're sick and need to be seen ASAP.
I've always had a good experience with the staff at the laboratory. Knock on wood that, that does not change.

Should be considered a clinic not a hospital. When you make an appointment there is always a month or two before they can get you in. It doesn't have and emergency room. You have to travel way out in town if there is an emergency which is at least 10-15 miles away. Lets just say they need lots of work on this base. I hope the right person comes along and makes some much needed changes.

This hospital definitely has professional helpful staff, but it is beyond frustrating to get an appointment.

The new system they’ve implemented has some issues and has somehow messed with my prescriptions.

Emailing the doctors .... well, it may take more than a day or two for you to get a response. My only concern is personal identifiable information (PII) hmmmm, well there are hackers right? Even OPM been hacked and they want us all to feel safe emailing our questions or needs to whomever? I’m just a little concerned about that part.

When I have needed a referral, they’ve been very quick and they can help with getting hard copies or (yes even) emails.

I’ve been a patient at this hospital since July of 2002. If there’s a problem they can help you with they will. No place is perfect I’ve been in the civilian sector as well. I’ve learned that you just need to know who to talk to and stay calm.
