We have been going to this dental office for years and have loved every visit! Dr. Dawson is the best! His staff is all incredible to work with too! It’s always an amazing experience, he’s gentle, his hygienists are fantastic, he’s thorough, and he only recommends work that’s needed to be done. I have just moved to Alaska and needed a retainer along with a regulator dental checkup. Finding a new provider always is such a stressor for me. Getting someone good is like finding a needle in a haystack. Well, Dr. Dawson has gone above and beyond. He wouldn’t give up until I was truly satisfied with the fit of my retainer. His chair side manner is one of the best I’ve ever come across. His gentle approach and kind, calm demeanor truly melted the anxiety and stress I was feeling of being in the chair. The front desk, Jessica, is amazing at communication. She doesn’t let things fall through the cracks. Making sure we are all on the same page and even willing to help me figure out what works best for me. The assistants at the office are super kind, gentle and answer any and all questions without seeming annoyed. Everyone in the office takes their time to make you truly feel like you’re the only patient they have. This office is truly a hidden gem in Alaska.

Dr McLean was our favorite family dentist for many years. I was happy to find out that Dr Dawson fills his shoes perfectly, very caring and personable. Dr D and his staff are very professional and compassionate (especially for scaredy cats like me.) I appreciate the explanations and extra patience when working with me.

Great experience from the time I made my appointment over the phone till I walked out the door after my appointment. Recently moved back to AK and wanted to find a dentist in Wasilla rather than traveling to south Anchorage to my previous dentist. This office is wonderful. Jess at the front was very friendly. The hygienist was very thorough, but was also careful in spots that could be sensitive. I felt my cleaning was better than I had received in the Lower 48. Dr. Dawson sat down and got to know me a little bit before he started and then took time to address any questions or concerns I had afterwards. Entire staff is friendly and I feel like I found my new dental office.

After moving from the Lower 48, I had a bite issue that would not get resolved. My previous dentist just kept brushing it off. On my first day with Dr. Dawson, he and his team spent more than an hour helping adjust my bite. I never had so much care and attention from a dentistry team before. Highly recommend.

Northwind Dental staff is professional, kind and compassionate. They did as much as I could handle in one appointment, and didn’t push to complete everything in one visit. When I had a panic attack, Dr Dawson and Felicity were understanding, supportive. They didn’t shame me or treat me as if there was something wrong with me.

Dr. Dawson and his staff are all so very warm and welcoming, very professional, knowledgeable, thorough and considerate in their respective work. On my first appointment I walked in a little on guard, not knowing what to expect. After meeting the staff I realized I was in good hands. I am in my seventies and have not had the best teeth since early childhood. Dr. Dawson has put in a lot of time and great effort into saving some very problematic teeth for me. I could not be more grateful or happier. When I see him for a specific problem he is also very vigilant in seeing anything that may cause a problem in the future. I have complete confidence in him. It is a true blessing that he took over Dr. Maclean’s practice and created a smooth transition for the former family of patients.
