This was my second visit to the office, and just like the first time, the staff made me feel as if I'd been a patient for ten years. I truly appreciate that warm welcome. While there are many dental offices out there, this one stands alone for its hospitality and its comfort. Mel and the front desk team were especially welcoming. Thank you all!

I came in for a teeth whitening procedure and ended up with a new dental group for myself and my family.
From the start, the ladies at the front desk were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Dr. Lamire and up Dr. Song are wonderful.
Bea (dental hygienist) is as knowledgeable as they come.
Clarissa made sure I was comfortable throughout my procedure.

Dr. Song texted me the following day of my appointment to have a cavity filled. He wanted to know how I was doing? Has anyone ever heard of a dentist following up with a patient to see how they’re doing? Certainly not me! This is the exact text I sent back to him:
No pain at all! Zero! You are a master craftsman! Thank you!
Dr. Song is an outstanding dentist and his “bedside manner” while you’re in the chair is incredible! He talks you through every single step in the process and he constantly ask you if you are OK. If you are nervous at all about dental work, you need to go see Dr. Song!!

Although Dr Song and his team are very kind and professional I was not satisfied with the end result of my veneers which was most important to me as a client. I expected a nice aesthetic look and trusted in their input. Although the process did improve my teeth in general, I did not get the color or shape I wanted. I feel they could have given me a brighter smile even though I was told the color I got was the best for my skin completion and the brightest for a natural look ( I wasn’t expecting the yellow tone). Even when I expressed they were yellow I was told that the white glue they were using under would make them brighter and it didn’t. I paid 10,000 and my teeth have a yellow tone and are uneven. One tooth chipped off after just 1 week. I can no longer wear lipsticks I like because of the yellow contrast of my teeth. Additionally the process was traumatic as my temporary front teeth fell off daily. If I want the aesthetic look I paid for, I would have to redo my teeth as I was told my veneers cannot be whitened now that they are permanently in my mouth. I wish they would have been more attentive about the color. My teeth are permanently yellow toned. My smile is not bright and now I constantly worry my teeth will chip or break off. Unfortunately, I reached out to Dr. song with no resolution. This was a waste of money.

I am not a fan of this place. Let me start out by saying they do not like you to ask them questions about your own services. Atleast for me it seems like they were uncomfortable with it. And if you do they all say what are you GOOGLING and why? The receptionist say the same thing it’s like a trickle down. Dr Lin he said the same to me on the phone when I asked about my partial and bone graft. I asked them about synthetic bone graft which is what I wanted but they said they only do cadaver. One of their receptionist Chrisi didn’t know the difference with the two grafts I had to double check for myself on GOOGLE. I told the receptionist I don’t want cadaver just wait till you get synthetic and call me. I told this to the receptionist Chrisi . After my research I found that synthetic was better suited for me. I don’t want human bone used as bone graft after what I read. It’s kinda strange. I guess This is why they say WHY YOU'RE GOOGLING? meaning don’t check behind them or research just trust us! Also on another situation I had going on in my mouth was do I need a crown or what? When I got a second opinion from other Drs they said I don’t need a crown in my back tooth not the one that needed the partial this was my back top tooth. Other Drs said it had to be pulled you can’t do a crown in that situation. So it seem like Dr Lin was trying to do a crown anyway something that wasn’t possible. That would’ve been 1000 dollars. Also I asked for synthetic bone graft which he had a problem with that too. They don’t want you to ask questions. When I first met Dr Lin he’s the Dr that comes once a week to do procedures he don’t really look you in the eye when he’s talking unlike the other Dr did. When I was asking him in person about bone graft and crowns he talk rushed and kinda doesn’t go in detail as if he’s uncomfortable with questions . Once again this is my experience with this place. This is a good sign to a patient that they don’t really care much about what I had to say or ask them Just trust us huh? Not sure about others but this was my experience. When I first went to this place they did a good job on the cleaning of my teeth that’s the offer they give for first timers. They told me what I needed to get done after that it was kinda going down hill when I asked about different procedures. I lost trust in them. Finally I said let me see about the partials. I ordered my partial which I have proof of I said specifically in an email please order it from NESBIT company they said sure I mentioned this Multiple times they went without telling or listening to me as a patient and ordered from a different place called PUCHE in Torrance who has 3 stars. I called them and they told me that they’re partials are 249.00 dollars for the top one i was sent. Why did it become 815.00 when it got delivered to PACIFIC DENTAL? That was fishy to me. This whole time i thought it was from Nesbit the company I asked for? Chrisi the receptionist couldn’t explain it she kept mumbling on the phone. After this exchange of just asking questions I guess you’re not allowed to do that. Dr Lin sent me an email saying we don’t want to do services with you anymore and took me off the file as a patient. Claiming patient trust is essential yes you’re right I have to feel comfortable with you too and if you had answered my questions without saying why you’re googling and not being thorough and looking me in the eye when you talk I would have been a bit more comfortable with it and done the procedure. This is why I waited so long to do it. It felt strange. THEY HATE QUESTIONS and I just don’t trust people who can’t answer simple questions. Another thing they did was open my partial and changed the bag to it and added more water this is what I noticed when I picked it up. Not sure why you would open the partial if you let me go as a patient? PUCHE Told me it was opened by Pacific Dental Aesthetics in Hawthorne before I got it. Hopefully you have a better experience! I’m out of money for something I didn't ask for. Hopefully I can get a refund for this.

If you’re looking for a dentist who is gentle, kind, and truly cares about your well-being, I cannot recommend Dr. Song enough! His bedside manner is exceptional—he’s a great listener, incredibly therapeutic, and always makes you feel comfortable, especially if you’ve had any past dental trauma. Dr. Song is extremely knowledgeable and has guided me through important decisions about my oral health. Every piece of advice he’s given me has improved my oral health and left me feeling more confident. Dr. Song’s care and approach remind me of Dr. Natfig’s incredible legacy—I felt cared for the moment I sat in the chair.

The superb and silent but steady leadership of dental hygienist BEA Is remarkable. She goes above and beyond with cancer screenings, which are thorough and reassuring. BEA is always up-to-date on the latest in oral health, meticulous in her cleanings, and has such a kind and professional bedside manner. After every cleaning, I leave feeling refreshed and cared for. I have chosen Bea as my dental hygienist time and time again for the last 24 years and never regretted following her anywhere she chooses to (BEA)…..lol

Mel has so much ALOHA spirit !! Mel and the entire team at the front desk are outstanding! They are on top of medical coverage, communicate clearly with insurance companies, and even guide you to the best options for maximizing your benefits. Their attention to detail and organization is unmatched.

Additionally, Clarissa, the dental assistant, is exceptional. She works seamlessly with Dr. Song, making appointments efficient and stress-free. She’s warm and personable, and like the rest of the team, makes you feel right at home—just like the famous saying from Cheers, they always know your name!

For those who have visited this office prior to the transition, Dr .Lemire and her well chosen selections have maintained a strong sense of morale and excellence for office culture which translates to how you feel when you’re in the office. The vibe is upbeat and everyone works well together in the kickback flow you would expect from a beachside office.

After over 24 years of being cared for by members of this team, I can confidently say this is the best dental experience you could ever ask for.

Dr. Song and the entire staff have created a practice that combines kindness, professionalism, and state-of-the-art care. If you’re nervous about going to the dentist or simply want the best possible care, this is the place to go.
