I could not recommend the dental facility here any higher. From the front desk to the dentists they are absolutely amazing. I have state insurance and expect the lower end of things out of experience but I did not get the runaround here. They immediately started working on my problem teeth. The appointments are a week or two out (10/09/24). The dentist actually seems to care and take action. Within a month of switching here from Hill Country most of my problems (I had quite a few) have been fixed. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. One of the dentists looks very young and that worried at first but she did a better and more pain free work that I have ever had done. Again go to this location if you have the option.

PIT RIVER HEALT put me on four different meds that have me a total mess now. I’m violent Sick dizzy I can’t go to work. I’m ready to commit suicide. I just talked to five different people five different phone numbers. None of them can tell me anything. I haven’t been able to talk to my doctor since last summer they wanna tell me it’s my fault. I don’t know what to do I just keep getting worse by the day.

This is a difficult review for me, as I once was an enrolled member who received dental treatment. The clinic did some fillings and sent me to Redding to have my remaining wisdom teeth (3) removed. The dentist in Redding injected something into my jaw and then said the procedure was cancelled. Many moons later, all the fillings are gone, my teeth are all broken off at the gum line, and I can't get treatment because the Tribe kicked me out for no reason (and, well, I live in Maine now anyways). To see a facial surgeon who accepts tribal status is impossible because of being disenrolled, even though the B.I.A. has given me a fancy "Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood" since being booted out. There aren't even any records available in case a specialist accepts me as a patient. So I wait for sepsis to set in so I can join my Pit River ancestors, alone in this world with a rotten mouth.

The I.C.W. Dept. is a bright spot when compared to what the Tribe has accomplished lately. I believe funding for the I.C.W. can be enhanced by Dept. of Justice grants to build a court system, the court system would keep all tribal children out of county social systems by making each child a ward of the Pit River Tribe Court, when established. It is written, we have not because we ask not. There is a problem when a Tribal Goverment says growing marijuana is a future asset for our children, our people. Until we fix our funding failures, like in 2010 the co-mingling of $96.000 (ninety six thousand dollars) of L.I.H.E.A.P. monies into the Tribes General Fund, this easily verified by U.S. Bank Statements. It must be noted a C.F.O. cannot do this on his or her own, they must be enabled. My name is Raymond H. Sloan, I believe a federal law called Sarbanes-Oxley needs to be applied to the Tribes financial records and penalties be applied to all guilty parties, myself included, I was a council man who never approved monthly finances. I am on record for a donation to me for 4-Corners, check in my name not a loan. I would like to invite tribal members to a salmon and deer dinner at 4-Corners, I`m in Yurok Country securing salmon at this time. Until our financial records concerning grants and funding are cleaned up, the I.C.W. Dept cannot be expanded, but with you, the membership voice it can be done. Accountabilty must be always made to you, the MEMBERSHIP!!!
