I was scheduled for surgery here and the first call I received was to make sure I could pay my portion after insurance the day of surgery. I asked the amount and I told her we’d figure it out. “So you’ll have it?” I was a little put off but figured everyone has bad days. Then the usual pre op health history call. There were a few things missing and I informed the nurse. She commented that those were “some big ones” and then went over day of surgery information. TWO DAYS before surgery, they inform my Drs office that they will not be doing the surgery because my insurance, which is good insurance and in network, wouldn’t pay them enough. I have had 6 knee surgeries and had never heard anything like this before. I called to find out why and the woman at the front desk was dismissive and could honestly care less. I explained that I had been dealing with torn ligaments for almost 3 months and I’m a SAHM and very much needed the surgery. Her response “well we would lose money on you”. I was so confused. I told her that I thought the patient just paid for whatever was left over that insurance didn’t cover. “Uhhh, well it looks like your insurance prefers a location with ambulatory services and we don’t have that”. I said oh, so they denied it? “No, we wouldn’t get enough money”. Ok, sorry I’m not fully understanding, I’ve never had this happen before…and she cuts me off “My manager was the one dealing with this but she’s already left for the day so if you need things explained to better you can call back tomorrow ok. Ok? Have a good day bye”. I barely got to say ok before the call was ended. This also was after they pushed back the appointment two weeks due to being out of fluids. I could have been well on my way to recovery instead of dealing with them. Northwest was absolutely amazing and friendly though!!

Compliments to the staff on a fine job dealing with aftermath of a major water leak in their building. I appreciated they were able to keep my surgery on schedule. Special thanks to my nursing team: Megan, Kayley, Sherry and Jose. They were professional, kind and helpful to me.

Couple items about the surgery center:
1. Need better signage on front of building. We parked and walked up to a door to find a small sign posted advising parking and main entrance in back of building. Sign was not visible from parking area.
2. I wasn't happy my spouse wasn't allowed with me in pre-op area. I understand it's to protect privacy of other patients but was a long wait before surgery and I would have been more comfortable with his attention.
3. Very surprised it was suggested my husband could drop me off for surgery, they would call to advise him when to pick me up. I can't imagine having general anesthesia without anyone in the building with me to be my advocate in the even unlikely event anything were to go wrong.
Again, my appreciation to the staff for all they did to assist in my comfort.

Ethan was great. Came out to give us a free estimate on a garage door repair. Explained everything in simple terms and was really friendly.

I had a medial meniscectomy done yesterday at the center. The staff, Meg, Margo, Cody, Dr Chase and my doctor, Dr Hanby, along with others who assisted with my pre and post-op were wonderful! They were very attentive and kind and very professional.
It was a special sweet surprise when Tadonna took the time, to stop by from her already busy schedule, to just say "hi".
Thank you to everyone for making my visit a pleasant one!
If anyone needs the services provided by this staff, I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to choose them.

The staff is nice however there were multiple scheduling errors. My procedure was rescheduled once at the last minute, literally an hour before arrival and I had been fasting. Then they told me a completely different arrival time then the Dr office for the rescheduled appointment. I arrived at the time I was told and the tech was not there to do my procedure. I had to wait over an hour in a plastic school chair for him to arrive with my excruciating back pain. After the procedure my driver was not notified and I was wheeled out into freezing parking lot and searched for the car. She might have been waiting inside! No one told them there had been a delay so she was freaking out because I was gone 2 hours for a 20-30min procedure. Very stressful experience

Do NOT have surgery at this place if you can avoid it! This surgical center takes the ‘fast-food approach’ to health care, trying to push patients out immediately after surgery, regardless of their condition. I had hip surgery there last month and it was a miserable experience. They were “out” of the medication I needed post-op so they gave me Tylenol as an attempt to control the intense pain. During the pre-operative phase, the nurses were talking over each other in an attempt to prepare faster. After the surgery, the nurse was rude and told me she would call an ambulance to take me to an actual hospital if I would get out of bed. It had been 45-minutes since the full general anesthesia surgery. I asked her for another 15 minutes because I didn’t think I could stand and she was visibly upset my pain wasn’t on the surgical centers tightly-packed schedule. This was the fourth surgery I’ve had (two at Army hospitals and two at civilian hospitals) in life and by far, the most painful and unpleasant of my experiences. I do NOT recommend this place.

My husband had surgery here and the nursing staff and anesthesiologist were amazing. It would be a 5 star if the front office staff were half as good. If this were our PCP’s office we would not be going back solely based on the front office staff. They were rude and it was an inconvenience for them to perform their jobs, obtain records, and generally do anything other than gossip. The communication was lacking between them and the surgeon’s office. I would give 0 stars for the ladies in the front. 5 stars for the center and nursing staff and anesthesiologist. Terminate or retrain the front office staff and it would be 5 stars across the board.

They were quick to schedule but the after care is lacking. Either provide access to someone who cares (not whoever is on call at Washington Regional) or put in the post op that waking up in the worst pain of your life is normal. Luckily I had a previous procedure done by a surgeon with competent care practices so I knew this. The nurse who helped me with it was amazing. I shouldn't have been the only support for the person I brought here. Doctors like this are why people Google symptoms. We know it's all the help we will get.
