Great customer service with a smile, as always.
It was my first time at the location, and I was surprised to see two buildings on either side of the parking lot. As I spoke to one of the associates, I was told it was a concept/test for REI to have merchandise split based on category, which should give a more roomy ambiance.

I think this is good if they have the space; the store felt wide, open, and easy to navigate around, vs. having everything put together in a small building.

I've enjoyed shopping when I can, getting good quality hiking shoes and boots. I've felt good because you guys weren't corporate so it made me feel good theirs people behind it. People that I thought felt the same about our natural environment as I do, as many people who enjoy the outdoors do. After seeing the letter written to Trump agreeing with his rape of our natural spaces I will no longer be patronizing. It's odd that an outdoor company would agree with these things happening, if there's no outdoors what's the point of your store at all. But money is money and if that's what you're in for and not using your well known name to speak up for our natural areas then farewell. I will be shopping elsewhere.

This review is for the completely fabulous Mary in the shoe department. Her knowledge and expertise in running shoes are almost encyclopedic. She will happily bring you whatever you need to try on, as many sizes as you need, listen to your concerns and make suggestions, and make sure you get in the correct shoe. I am so grateful (as are my feet) for her knowledge and I love my Topos.

She is also an ace multitasker, handling multiple customers at one time. She is truly an asset to REI!

The male cashier could use a little coaching on treating customers the same even if they decline to donate to the charity; but you're going here for Mary, not the cashier.

I had a very frustrating experience with the female manager name Auk (I can't remember the spelling) I had an issue that should have been straightforward to resolve, but when I spoke with the them, they were dismissive, unhelpful, and displayed a lack of basic courtesy. From the start, they seemed annoyed that I was even asking for help, showing no intention of finding a solution. Not only were they unwilling to hear me out fully, but they also made it clear they didn’t care about the inconvenience I was experiencing, even though the problem was well within their authority to address.
I felt that their attitude was strangely hostile and apathetic, to the point that it felt discriminatory. I got the distinct impression that they were treating me differently for reasons beyond my control, which only added to my frustration. It’s unsettling when someone in a managerial position, who should be leading by example, disregards customer concerns so openly.
However, on another shift, I had the pleasure of speaking with a different male Manager, who showed the complete opposite approach. They listened patiently, understood the issue, and immediately found a simple solution. It took them minutes to fix what the previous manager claimed was “impossible” or “not their responsibility.” I couldn’t believe the difference in service between the two managers—it was like night and day. Needless to say my recent experience still left a bad taste and I will never shop at REI again.

I went to the Springs store to try on some ski boots. The guy who helped me was very helpful, knowledgeable and laid back. I ended up buying the boots and was pleased with the experience.

I took my bike into the shop twice. The first time they told me that they didn't know how to fix it which was rather disappointing. The second time I took in a problem I knew they could handle. They took it, sat on it for a week, and then told me that they didn't have time and recommended I go to another shop.

The shopping experience is fine though.

Thom was a saint getting me fitted for ski boots. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with patience. Top notch. Shout out to Sarah who finished the molding process.

Over 6000 folks read my review. Still waiting for the store location to get back to me on picture policy. Seems simple.

Reached out to corporate. In general, there is no current written policy about taking pictures in REI stores.

Update- Over the last two years I have spent a portion of my paycheck here. Today I was told I am not allowed to take photos of merchandise.
I was unable to determine if it was the store employees' policy or the store's policy not to take photos. When I asked if they would like for me to take down a REI google photo that had 98,000 views, or the others that total half a million views, they squirmed and would not commit.

The second employee took my information and said they would reach out to corporate for me. She was concerned I was taking pictures of people. I willingly showed her my merchandise photos to demonstrate there were no people in my shots.

The managers "were in a meeting" and unable to talk to me.

I am still awaiting my answer from corporate from the store employee and the email I sent them in regards to photographs of merchandise.

Spoke with Steve-Dave and Kelly about various outdoor items necessary for a backpacking trip. All were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. The store is well laid out and the products are high quality. There was no pressure to purchase anything. I will be returning soon!
