I’ve been going to River Denistry for almost 9 years now since moving to DTLA. Dr. Huang is the best. I’ve had lots of work done and he’s incredibly thorough and took the time to explain every step of my treatment, making sure I felt comfortable and informed. His gentle approach and attention to detail made all the difference, and I left feeling well cared for and confident in my dental health.

I highly recommend Dr. Charles Huang to anyone looking for an exceptional dentist who truly cares about his patients’ well-being. I’m so glad to have found such a great dental office in the area and he is also open late and on Saturdays which is amazing! His office also offers a discount for valet so no need to worry about parking.

I went to River Dentistry for emergency care treatment for pain TODAY from a wisdom tooth that had been extracted during oral surgery by another dentist 4 weeks ago while traveling. My tongue was being cut constantly by the remains of the wisdom tooth. My pain level had been high for weeks. I barely slept at night and hadn't been able to eat/drink anything but liquids before visiting River Dental. I found River Dental and Dr. Charles Huang after doing several Google and Yelp searches for "Best Dentist", "Gentle Dentist" and "Pain free Dentists" in the LA area. I was amazed at the quality of his reviews. He earns every rave review and glowing praise for his care because it's true! I went in with level 9 pain and now I'm relaxing (same day) with NO PAIN! Dr Charlie actually made a special emergency appointment for me the next day after I'd explained what I was experiencing to his receptionist over the phone. The entire staff at River Dental is exceptional, kind, courteous and talented. Gracieth in reception greeted me warmly and patiently when I arrived this morning, helping me to quickly fill out all remaining forms. Dr Huang's assistant, Lisa is also stellar and exceptionally talented. She and Dr Charlie walked me through each and every procedure prior to treatment with GREAT care, gentleness and patience. River Dental has an exceptionally talented, gentle and brilliant dentist in Dr Charles Huang who has staffed his practice with exceptionally talented and wonderful professionals. The entire staff is The Best! They're located in the beautiful Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

River Dentistry is awesome! I needed to have my braces removed in a pinch because the incompetent orthodontist I was seeing installed them wrong. The wires were cutting into the side of my mouth and causing me a lot of pain and sores. Fortunately I found River Dentistry and booked an appointment. Dr. Huang and his team removed my braces and did a great job at it. They were very professional and thorough. I was very impressed and recommend them to anyone needing dentistry in LA.

I was able to schedule a same day appt online for 9/6/23. This office is located inside the Westin. A bit hard to find but hotel security helped. Clean office. Nice staff. Especially the young, black lady. I believe she was the dental assistant. She checked me in, took my X-rays, and polished my teeth. She explained everything thoroughly throughout the appt.

I've seen Dr. Charlie for about ten years now and would never see another dentist in L.A. He and his staff are wonderful, kind, and caring. The care is excellent and reasonably priced. I recently had both a teeth cleaning and a chipped tooth fixed, and my teeth look like new. The best!

There were two incidents in 2020 and 2021 when I needed one of my wisdom teeth pulled out. I went to Dr. Huang both times, he was very kind to make space in his schedule when he found out I was in pain. The place is very clean, all the tools he uses are high quality, and Dr. Huang is also very skilled and his process is painless. River Dentistry has become the only place I trust for my wisdom teeth and my place of preference for cleaning my teeth. I should also note that Gracieth at the front desk has always been very kind and helpful.

Despite an intense session with a cleaning, the doctor and his staff are AMAZINGLY professional and courteous. Your comfort is their main priority and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. The work is incredible and Huang takes the scary out of every visit. Dr. Charlie and his staff are fantastic! I’ve seen Dr. Charlie several times in the last couple of months, for teeth cleaning and other issues, and I couldn’t be happier with the results and with my experience! His teeth cleaning was the first painless cleaning I’ve had in many years. At our first visit he established a plan to address areas of concern, and the work he’s done so far has made a huge difference for me. He’s done a lot more than address the sensitivity in my teeth, but the most obvious difference has been the elimination of the pain/discomfort that I’ve had for years because of the sensitivity in my teeth. Dr. Charlie chose the least invasive approach to address my issues and has been patient and careful in doing the work. At every step of the process he’s been concerned about minimizing, and has done all he can to minimize, pain and discomfort. Dr. Charlie is very knowledgeable and skilled, and has very kind and gentle chair-side manner with his patients. Dr. Charlie’s dental assistants are nice, skilled and very attentive toward their patients. Vanessa in the front office is always nice and friendly and is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with everything related to insurance/payment. Every member of the office has contributed to my positive experience with River Dentistry!
