Kelly the dental hygienist who worked with me did a fantastic job - she promised they would be able to get to half of my teeth during my visit, then overdelivered and finished a full deep Clean saving me an extremely a visit. She also gave me a ton of excellent advice for flossing hacks, toothbrush choices and general dental hygiene. Linda, the front desk staff was super friendly and I had about a 2-minute waote from check in to getting my dental work started - one of the most efficient experiences I have had at a dentist. I cannot recommend this dental clinic enough. Getting apts can be a bit challenging but once you get in, they treat you great.

Venus, in the dental department in the front desk, helped me out on rescheduling with a new Dr. She had great customer service. Since my appointment with my original Dr was horrible. I really appreciate her for helping me out, and even thou they were booked , she scheduled me for the next day since there was a cancelation. Thank you, Venus, I really appreciate it. 💛

This review is for the dental clinic. Top notch! Tina, who cleaned my teeth, the lady who gave me the check up, and all the ladies in reception are amazing. The men there are pretty great as well. They're all very personable, and you can tell they love what they do!

The only problem I had was the tech who was going to fill a cavity did not numb me up enough on the right side. I should have said something, but I didn't and wound up feeling the drill. Painful! If you don't feel numbed up, speak up!

UPDATE 2/21/25: I fear the crown they put in has a gap and food is getting in there. I'M IN SO MUCH PAIN. I was supposed to get a root canal, but I was denied service with whom they recommended. I got bounced back and forth, this guy at the SDFC put numbing solution on it, but it didn't work. I'm in more pain now than when I started. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. THIS FKN HURTS! This is what happens when you can't afford proper service, and you have to go to a non-profit. They should be audited!! Why am I being denied the root canal if I need it and I'm being denied care when I've already had SO much work done. Now I have to live with this or find someone who can actually stop this awful nightmare of pain!!!

The Family Care doctors can be lacking, I've had a handful of very negative experiences with Family Care practitioners. There are two doctors that I feel that are excellent and very thorough and Chi Hoang and Joseph Risser are good doctors to see, they are knowledgeable and give decent care, Dr Naranjo is ok too.
That's ONLY two out of many and I feel like the clinic can do more to recruit better thorough doctors that are not disrespectful and condescending and rushed in this Family Care
Practitioner Department.
The staff / receptionist /schedulers and nurses in dental, pediatric, Family Care have always been very kind and respectful, I've been to this clinic for 10 plus years. The pediatricians are also very good kind respecting professionals. The dental clinic is also very good, good staff ! with very respectful and through professionals . The clinic overall is great but their family care doctors are always the issue.
Referral specialist is good, very busy but good and respectful.
I would definitely give 5+ stars to all the Receptionists/ Schedulers !

Everyone was very helpful and thorough. There was a bit of a language barrier at times, but it was nothing to worry about. Took several phone calls to get prescriptions set up, which was frustrating, but it got done eventually.

Also, Adele is AMAZING and SO HELPFUL. She is incredibly helpful and made this place a 5/5.

Don’t come to a community healthcare clinic expecting “great customer service”. You’re a patient when you come here, not a customer. If you want to be a customer that bad, wave around some money and go to a hospital or clinic that’s into that sort of thing.
That being said, I’ve been coming to the Dental Clinic here the last few months and- in my experience- these folks have been nothing short of phenomenal. From the receptionists to the assistants, techs, and the dentist herself, everyone has been so helpful, understanding, and attentive. Dr. Amanda Puustinen has actually got to be the most compassionate dentist I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a few- my teeth have been through some things. Thank you all so, so much! You guys are the best.
For anyone looking to come here, you’ll be in very capable hands. Just make sure you book your appointment early and treat your fellow humans (staff and other patients both) with kindness and respect.
