I got a call 8 minutes before my appointment letting me know they had to cancel. Mind you I was already in the parking lot heading into the building. I find that to be extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional. I don’t live down the street, I live almost 40 min away. Waste of my time, and my gas. I realize this is the county health center and they must operate differently but that’s pretty sad. If I called 8 min. Before my appointment to cancel I’d be charged a late cancellation fee at a normal dr. Office.

Although I did sign paperwork stating they could randomly drug test at any time, and I’m sure it’s probably protocol there. It still makes you feel criminal. I’ve never had to get drug tested at any office prior, especially not for OB care.
The staff is friendly though so they do get 3 stars for that.

If you have any pressing medical issues that need to be addressed sooner than 3 months away- go to Urgent Care or the ER. This place has too few doctors for how many patients they take on. If you wish to talk to a reception staff member who doesn't want to take their frustrations of their job out on you, this is not the place for you. If you want your anxiety, depression, or mental illness to be treated with compassion and understanding- find a new place to go. If you have ever had any prior substance abuse issues including alcohol, don't forget you're always an addict and have no chance of recovery in their eyes. If you have ever wanted to visit a clinic that made you loath yourself, fear for your physical health, and lose even more faith in humanity- they've got you covered.

Public Health does not equal worse so I don't know why they're so awful. Waited 6 months for an appointment to establish care, appointment day came and they informed me it was canceled because that doctor retired.
Waited 3 more months, showed up and was made to leave or reschedule because I didn't have childcare for my 4 year old that was with me.
Finally tried to make another one and they have an appointment for 3 months out earliest.
Then the medical assistant hung up on me when she probably should have just called her supervisor.

I have been impressed with the concern and when tests are done you usually get the results that night or next morning.
Well, I use "My Chart" so my results are posted asap as well as for referrals, and imaginging . This clinic may have had issues or complaints when just opened but I've received better care from the clinic compared to a insured HMO or PPO INSURANCE where I saw top notch specialists. My opinion is I would choose the Health Clinic over Foundations that do nothing but frustrate you

Almost killed me by not informing me I had preeclampsia despite having protein in urine and high blood pressure. Had to have emergency c section due to the neglect. Worst clinic we’ve ever been to.

I been going to LHCC for many yrs and the Doctors are amazingly friendly! Shout out to the Girls in the back offices. Jessica, Letty & patty. All staff are awesome!

I have used Samsung valley medical group Chc and several other doctors office's in this area. There is no question that i recieve a much higher level of care at the Lompoc community health clinic the wait times for my appointments usually run less then 10 minutes. If I call at 8am 75 percent of the time i can get a appointment the same day. The doctors here take there time with you listen and don't rush you through an appointment. The nurses are very friendly along with the entire staff. I must single out 2 people here Dr Robert Guerra and his nurse Patty are the best medical team showing a unprecedented level of caring for all their patients it is astounding and they should be recognized and commended. I could not reccommed anywhere more highly. The only thing i can criticize is the laboratory can have a long wait at times. Thank you to all the staff here for providing such amazing services to the local community .

Wont come back. Brought my child in sick. Couldnt see a actually pediatrician. The most of the visit was asked about everything else that didnt pertain to medical history. Seemed rushed. This place used to be good with kids from what I remember. My child was terrified the entire visit. Something that doesnt happen. They didnt talk to him by name no patience relationship building for him to feel comfortable. No compassion at all. They were more concerned with the computer paperwork instead of wanting to know if my son has any medical conditions besides allergies. When I tried to give the nurse his medical history she disregarded what I had said and pushed to who lives in my home questions. What on earth?
