I was super nervous and had very low self esteem going into the dentist's office. I have always had an issue with crowding and was bullied heavily in school for this issue. My parents did not have the financial resources to purchase braces, and we never went to the dentist as children unless there was something majorly wrong that caused us pain. After school, I became a mother and my financial resources were solely focussed on my children. I had a major fear of going to the dentist…terrified that I would be judged and bullied. This was the first time I had been in twenty plus years. When I walked to the front desk, the secretary was quick to service me and answer any of my questions. Upon getting called back, I told the dental assistant my fears, and she was very kind and reassuring. Dr. Bradford came in and immediately made me feel more comfortable and welcome. He reassured me that my teeth were healthy and to not be so hard on myself. My childlike fear of the dentist turned into me feeling much more at ease, welcomed, and relaxed. I had one cavity filled that took maybe twenty minutes tops. Upon leaving the office, Dr. Bradford made sure to ask if I had any questions regarding anything, and I thanked him and the dental assistant for making me feel welcome and not judging me. I would highly recommend this dental office, especially if you too have a fear of being judged for your smile. The staff there are very down to earth and friendly and will make sure you feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. Never let your fear of being judged keep you from improving your smile.
