My first time at Shinkawa Dental and it was such a great experience. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming (even at 8am). It was nice to see a family business where everyone is involved. The dental assistant, Trinity was so patient and gentle while explaining everything with detail and great attitude. The dentist, Adam was also really friendly and thorough. Overall, I highly recommend this office especially if you're like me that has really bad anxiety going to the dentist.

The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. I love that it is family owned, and although each Dentist has their own style of treatment, you can tell they work together to make sure the same quality of service is offered across the board. I’ve had the privilege of being a patient of all three and I don’t have anything but praise to offer them.

Each doctor is so kind and genuinely concerned about your dental health. They are knowledgeable and so patient when explaining the work they are doing. They take their time, but are also respectful of your time there. They talk you through what they are doing and often times I can over hear them teaching their assistance as well. I love that they empower them to feel educated on things they are doing, even if it’s not their role. You can tell it’s simply just for their understanding & growth.

The clinic itself is clean and spacious. You walk in and there is plenty of seating. The check in process is quick and simple, as is the check out process. I appreciate that they have your copay information ready to go so that you don’t have to worry about follow up payments later.

I was midway through dental implants when my long time dentist merged his practice with another dentist. I was not comfortable with the recommendations offered by the new office. They wanted to pull all of my teeth. I needed a second opinion. My oral surgeon Dr Huh referred me to Dr Adam Shinkawa and I am so pleased that he did.
The Shinkawa Dental office is very welcoming. I was pleasantly introduced to all of the front desk staff. Next I was ushered to a comfortable examination by a friendly dental assistant. Dr Adam Shinkawa examined my mouth and then discussed his proposal for completing my implants with two bridges as originally planned.
Dr Adam was very kind and understood of the trauma I have been through. I am looking forward to working with him.
If you are looking for a new dentist or are unhappy with your current dentist, I highly recommend Dr Adam Shinkawa.

I recently had my first dental cleaning in over two years at Shinkawa Dental, and I was incredibly impressed by the quality of care and overall experience!

Parking and Arrival:
Finding the practice was a breeze, and parking was so easy. Upon entering the office, I was warmly welcomed by Veronica, the receptionist, and was called back for my cleaning right on time.

Treatment Experience:
The medical assistant escorted me to the treatment area, allowing me to choose a show on Disney+ to watch while she gently performed my x-rays and prepared me for the dentist. Dr. Nicole Shinkawa then came in to personally conduct my dental cleaning from start to finish. Her attention to detail and gentle touch made the entire process comfortable. I requested a deep cleaning, and she delivered exactly that—my teeth look incredible! I've literally been showing my polished new smile to anyone who will pay attention.

Additional Care:
What really stood out to me was Dr. Nicole's dedication; she took extra time after the appointment to discuss my overall dental health history and provided valuable tips on how to maintain and improve my dental health. Additionally, instead of needing to visit an orthodontist for a retainer, they used 3D imaging of my teeth sand ordered my new retainers the same day— so convenient.

Personal Touch:
As I was leaving, Dr. Adam Shinkawa took the time to introduce himself. Even though I wasn't his patient that day, he made the extra effort to thank me for visiting their practice, which added such a nice personal touch to my experience.

Overall, this practice exemplifies professionalism and trustworthiness while delivering high-quality results. Although I live in Los Angeles, I've already scheduled my next appointment in six months because I truly appreciate Shinkawa Dental. What a gem of a find!
