I would also give them a 0 if I could. Here is my horrible experience at this dentist office. My insurance assigned me to them so I made an appointment to go because I had a tooth that needed to come out it was infected and the pain level was beyond 10. I get there go through the preliminary exam, Ask the dentist if she could remove my tooth. The dentist then Proceeds to tell me that it will be $200 for bonegraphed and basically if I don't get the bone graft that she won't remove my tooth. Since when did extortion become part of dentistry I will be reporting them to the dental board and anybody else who will listen. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone not even my worst enemy. I will be changing my dentist immediately I would never set foot or grace her facility with my presence ever again. Because I told her that I did not want the bone graft just please get this tooth out of my head so that I can stop being in pain. That was by far the worst dental experience I've ever had in my life.

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. Yolonda is dishonest. She makes up dental codes Upcharging to the acess of $600+ and had the unabashed gall to get upset because I submitted the treatment plan to my insurance, which confirmed my suspicions, that indeed she massively overcharging. She cited and I quote, "if you're not going to trust us, if you’re going to question everything, I will contact your insurance and have them switch you," when in fact, she was being dishonest. She delayed restoration process after a root canal. Dr. Cohen is a young bright dentist. He and his patients deserve better. I have filed a grievance as well as a motion for malpractice because she did this in the middle of dental work interrupting my care and healing. This has caused a great deal of stress having to switch in the middle of work. The good news is the office I've been transferred to has a 5star rating. This office has 1 star and that's for a good reason. Shame on Yolonda. Everything happens for a reason.
On a side note, I paid $540 for a laser cleaning, something I'd never done b4 but did it anyway. It wasn't that I didn't trust. I just wasn't willing to blindly pay. We all have the right to double check treatment plans, and if that offends, there's a reason for it. RUN!

When I made my initial appointment, I asked if my appointment could be sooner and made the severity of my situation known, and the woman on the line just told me “I’m not a dentist so you’ll have to call to check for cancellations” and gave me an appointment a month away. I call to check for cancellations and another woman answered, she helped me move it up and assured me that the dentist would help me with any discomfort they could. I go to my appointment and they start taking x rays. The only question I’m asked is if I’m in any pain. I said yes and finished the x rays. I’m moved to another room where I’m expecting them to ask me questions about what I’m dealing with (rotted tooth, flabby gums around tooth, gums growing down into the crater in the tooth, pain, difficulty chewing, inflammation, pressure on gums) but I wasn’t asked a single question. I’m also thinking I’m waiting for them to explain my x rays to me. Instead, I’m left alone. This man with extreme QUACK energy comes up, makes no eye contact and no asking me how I’m doing. He takes a glance at my x rays and tells me I have to remove all of my wisdom teeth, that haven’t grown in yet. He hasn’t even looked in my mouth yet or asked me any questions. I challenge him on it, and he finally grabs the light with his bare, ungloved hand and takes a look for an actual second, still doesn’t ask me anything about my symptoms, and mumbles and walks away. He also left the light blocking the tv I was watching while waiting patiently. I sit and wait for someone to come ask me something, anything, but instead I’m told my visit is over and to go back to the front. I protest and let her know that nobody has asked me what’s wrong yet. So she fetches someone who came to explain to me that I’m being referred. This person, the same person who helped move my appointment up, made it a point to only refer me to get one tooth removed rather than all four, as she recognized it was my choice and I shouldn’t be pressured into it like the main guy did. I complain to her that nobody asked me what was wrong, or anything about my situation. I tell her that the person doing my x rays only asked me if I had any pain. She said plainly “that’s where it starts.” Yeah. I’m not the professional here, you’re supposed to ask me questions, look in my mouth, anything. I don’t know what questions to ask, please do your job. Don’t go here, they don’t treat you like a human being, but rather a non-sentient test subject. Super unprofessional, inconsiderate, apathetic, and a pure reflection of the sick and twisted American healthcare system that either exploits us daily for our health anxiety or ignores us and our needs, especially women. I left without any help whatsoever with the pain and discomfort I’m experiencing.

I have had great service with smile dental in Palmdale on 25 th st e there staff are friendly,knowledgeable, professional, organized, caring, and vary helpful, I regret not going threw with my procedure and will be making appt on Monday to complete all my dental issues with this office, I will recommend smile dental to all my friends and family
