I wanted to love this place- I truly did. It's really nice on the inside and very clean but I question the integrity of the doctors and hygienists. Be prepared to be oversold and have to look super closely to your receipts and insurance claims.

I visited two years ago for a normal cleaning after COVID- my teeth have always been in really good shape but when I went to visit, I was surprised to hear my teeth were in such "shambles"- so I happily agreed to whatever needed to be done to get in tip top shape. I also needed a few fill ins and so I said sure, let's get it done. Problem number one started when my fill ins were terribly place and I had to go back again to get them REDONE because my bight was so off. A few months later, I was having extreme teeth sensitivity where some of my fill ins were so I went to a new dentist for a second opinion. Come to find out that my mouth was not as terrible as Smile Design made it out to be and two of the fill ins I didn't need and were too shallow... which is why I was feeling sensitivity around them.

Fast forward TWO YEARS and I am still getting statements from them saying that I owe a balance from these botched visits.... so I was fed up and called my insurance to see what was going. Essentially they told me that I was most likely oversold and whatever balance I "owe" I didn't because I have NO balances on my record.. so yes, the insurance may not have paid for the full service according to its policy, but that doesn't mean that the balance comes out of my pocket. I called Smile design back to let them know what my insurance said to only be told "oh, well send proof of your claim and we can clear that balance."

Moral of the story is....advocate for yourself!!! Feels criminal how easy it was to get answers on what I owe and what I actually DO NOT owe and how easy it is to get it taken care of... but I'm glad I did the work to do so instead of being out almost $400 in "balances" that don't need to come out of my pocket.

Service is good.. The place used to have more atmosphere. Good Music, lots of conversation and activity amongst employees, Just a high energy fun place, if you can say that about the dentist lol.. Now it just feels like a regular ole dentist office. I miss the vibe the place used to have. Again, the service is perfectly fine but once you experience how it used to be its kinda hard going back to the regular ole dentist office

This Dentist overcharges. I have been to this dentist 3 times, twice for cleaning. Both cleanings are routine and covered by my insurance. Both times I received bills afterwards for ridiculous charges that my insurance would not pay for. The last cleaning they charged me an extra $40 because my insurance denied the charge. They said that I had been to the dentists excessively. I hadn’t been To the dentist in a YEAR. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I do not recommend this dentist. Buyer beware.

I would definitely listen to the negative reviews. Scammy unprofessional dentist office. Came in for a regular cleaning and insisted I only wanted a cleaning that was covered by my insurance. They did not listen and billed over $600 for things my insurance did not cover because it was unnecessary. They also told me I had over 10 cavities. I was so surprised as I followed a dentist regularly prior to trying out this office and was never informed of having cavities. They were also very insistent in getting me into an office room and discussing letting their newly graduated dentist do my veneers. Such horrible scammy vibes. I ended up doing my veneers with Smile Texas in Sugar Land and guess what? During my full mouth consultation I did not have any cavities. It wasn’t until a few months later that I got the $600 bill. I originally wrote a review in 2021, however, it seems like they have gotten it deleted because it is no longer posted. Not surprised: more scammy practices.

This is one of the nicest dental offices I’ve been to! Dr Karkour is super thorough as well as the hygienist Vu! As a dentist, I would 100% recommend this place to patients! Very contemporary modern office with lots of updated features and technology! Dr Karkour is patient and explains many treatment options and is very meticulous! Would trust and recommend😊
