My experience at Smile Sun City was unexpectedly wonderful!! The ENTIRE staff was genuinely friendly and caring. I had not been to a dentist in several years for various reasons, yet I was not scolded. Instead, I was applauded and congratulated for actually following through with my appointment. I cannot recommend this office highly enough!! Thank you and I look forward to our continuing collaboration in reestablishing and maintaining my dental health!!

This dental office is the best . They are HAPPY AND ENJOY THEIR WORK AND IT SHOWS. They answered all my questions and did whatever it took to make sure I was satisfied with their care of my teeth.
They gave me options of what I can do for my dental concerns. I am so blessed to have them help me.

Me and my wife scheduled a new patient visit to have an exam and routine cleaning. We recently moved to Sun City from out of state and was looking to find a new dentist for routine exams and cleanings. After 18 x-rays and a full scan of all the teeth, the dentist came in and reviewed the x-rays and indicated I did not have any cavities. The dental hygienist then came in and measured each gum pocket depth for all my teeth. Most were 3's, some were 4, 5 and 6's. Then hygienist (not the dentist) then informed me I needed to have a deep cleaning done, and that they would not do a routine cleaning until the deep cleaning was done. When I asked if my 4, 5 and 6's would improve, she indicated the scores would be similar, but a deep cleaning would no longer be required for the next visit and a routine cleaning would suffice (And she is basing this treatment on the same data that she took and what she anticipates it to be on the next visit: Similar, but no more deep cleanings required). I informed her and the front office that me and my wife did not want this cleaning And if I did get this cleaning I would expect my numbers to be better, else WHY do they not require it every visit. I agree to let them submit the services to my insurance to predetermine the cost, and I just received this. The provider charge for this was over $2000 each (Over $4000 for a retire couple on a fixed income). Of which we were pay for nearly $800 for each for me and my wife (Nearly $1600). When we called to say we did not want to pay this, and just have a routine cleaning they refused. Needless to say, we will be looking for another dentist.

The dentist suggested a deep cleaning. My insurance will only cover a basic so the out of pocket would be $800. I told them I wanted the basic that is covered by insurance. They refused to do it. They aren't "allowed" if a deep cleaning is recommended. I was asked after the exam if I wanted the basic cleaning or to have them see what my insurance would approve toward and advance cleaning. I said sure check. I waited two months didn't hear back. They wouldn't do the cleaning and check up in the same visit either. Now I have to start over. This isn't about dental passion. It is about money. Plain and simple.

I scheduled my 1st appointment for 2:00, then received a text confirmation for 3:00, I responded that it was for 2:00 and they responded that, that was correct. I showed up at 2:00 and waited until my apparent appointment at 3:00, then I was told I needed more dental work than I had ever been told I need in my life. I went to another dental office for a second opinion, I did indeed need the root canal, but there was a crack in a tooth that was completely missed that was more important than anything they thought should be completed. I will not be going back.

Staff was great and the Dentist was caring and informative. I had a few issues and never felt rushed during my explanation s. I am comfortable putting my mouth health in their care.

Where else can I go to have work done on my teeth and still have fun? All the young ladies up there make it enjoyable.

On July 2nd I visited this facility with a mild toothache. They took xrays and it was determined I needed some work done. I have commercial insurance along with Medicare, so they wanted to get a preauth and I was told it might take 3 weeks. It is now mid August and I am now being told thru meant 6-8 weeks for the preauth. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. if their doctors are as inept as their office help, I wonder how they are still in business.
