I had been very nervous and anxious about sending my child here due to all the negative reviews but the experience was actually really positive and I felt very reassured especially after speaking with the anesthesiologist. My son adored her!

The facility was clean and staff was very friendly. There was very little wait time and they were extremely thorough in showing and explaining the X-rays and procedure. He needed extensive work which was made clear by his referring dentist and was quite clear on the x-rays.

He was not taken advantage of which is a real fear and reality for medi-cal patients, especially young children since dental options are few. I highly recommend making the drive to Stockton if you are limited by your local options.

They were very accommodating for our schedule time since we were driving 3hours each way. Did not make us make a trip prior for consultation, that I had to do for a different child once before at a different location with a different dentist. They called prior to going to make sure child wasn't sick and give instructions. All staff were friendly and professional. Explained everything and once child goes in they take exrays and prior to starting they go over everything with you. They tell you up front plan on 4 hour. We were in and out in about 2 1/2 hours. No issues good experience.

Had a great experience here. The dentist, anesthesiologist, and nurses were compassionate and helpful. They were to the point, but don’t be afraid to ask questions. Just a pro tip - if you don’t take forever to do intake paperwork, arrive a little late to cut down on wait time. They will fit you regardless of what time you arrive.

Avoid this place if possible! Just left this facility two hours ago. Up until being called back to the recovery area, the service was ok (nothing great but fine). Once I walked back to where my son was, I took one look at him and quickly noticed something wasn’t right. My sons top two teeth were gone! All the work that was suppose to get done was in the back of his mouth. So where are my sons teeth?! I asked for an explanation and the recovery nurse said she will ask the dental surgeon. Before she could do that we attempted to calm my son who is autistic down because he was screaming and blood still coming from his mouth. Recovery nurse had the X-ray technician/pre-op nurse come and speak to me. She attempted to explain. I then turned my focus to the bigger issue of why we weren’t informed before the surgeon made the decision on his own. Even went further and said YOU with your own mouth said that if any changes or new things popped up during procedure, a nurse would come out yo lobby to inform us. That DID NOT happen. Nurse FELICIA responds with “well I don’t know because I wasn’t in there l… it’s not like we can put his teeth back in” Are you SERIOUS?! That’s what you say to a mother holding her child in her arms, with tears in her eyes and blood all over her shirt?!!!!! The situation continued to get worse with the things that came out her mouth. And surprise surprise her supervisor isn’t there.. she’s on vacation and the supervisor above her was fired!

My twins came here 10years ago and it was great they repaired all their teeth. They woke up beautifully. Everything was fine. I’m now here today with my son, and I see all the bad reviews about this place but the truth is it was nothing to do with this place. It was ultimately the child who passed away’s health is the reason why the child died not because nothing these people did. These people are professionals they do everything in their power to make sure that the patients are safe I give them five stars because they are very attentive to your child. They put their safety first they have so many precautions that they take to ultimately make sure that your child is in the best care possible I highly recommend this place even though all the bad reviews it’s only because a child died here, but that child also had a heart problems that the parents neglected to let the surgical center know so it was not there doing it was ultimately the child’s own bad heart. Rest in peace to the beautiful little girl who lost her life but it had nothing to do with Stockton‘s dental children’s surgery clinic. I highly recommend this place if your child does not let the dentist take x-rays or any kind of work done. This place is hands-down, one of the best and one of the safest

We went in for one tiny filling between bottom front teeth and my 4 year old son came out with 8 ugly, silver crowns on all his molars. They have a high-pressure, money making scheme in order to milk the most they can from MediCal irregardless of how it makes your child look. The dentist refused to do fillings on molars with small cavities and instead put silver crowns on all 8 molars. I was told that the three fillings he had done at the dentist weren't done right and needed to be redone, and instead of refilling them they insisted the only thing they were willing to do was put crowns. The used fear tactic telling me that he is already under anesthesia and it's risky every time, so that leaving and having to do anesthesia again would be choosing to put him at further risk. I was so pressured and overwhelmed I didn't know what to do, and now my kid looks like we never took care of his teeth which isn't the case at all. None of the kids we are around or at his school look like this. We are being discriminated against and stripped of our choices because we have Medical. I just researched and learned that Medical pays way more for crowns than fillings, so they put unnecessary crowns just to make the most profit they could! I was also told if I didn't agree to the treatment plan I wouldn't be able to ever go there again. How cruel is this. And to do crowns the teeth have to be shaved down. His teeth barely had any problems at all! I am pursuing legal recourse because this is straight wrong.
