Busy little dental practice staffed by a great crew and dentist. For those who hate to see the dentist, all that falls aside once engaged with Dr. Ewell. He has a great sense of humor and always keeps things light, but is very professional when discussing patient treatment. Dr Ewell is the dentist everyone wishes they had. SunCoast Dental is a very pleasant experience.

Great experience with Dr Ewell and staff. Office staff was friendly, attentive and got me in right away. Dr Ewell was wonderful and patient and made me feel at ease. Highly recommend.

The practice offers excellent dentistry, his front office staff however are inattentive and passive aggressive. Never felt like I’ve burdened someone as much at the thought of asking them to please follow up on a basic question. This isn’t just an isolated incident but a collection of them spanning years now. I’ve been a patient for three years and I don’t recommend this dentistry. Spend your money somewhere that appreciates your time and business.

I'm not a fan of going to the dentist or any Dr!
I have severe health anxiety because I've had several bad experiences! I found this dentist on my insurances website & gave them a call! The receptionist that answered was very nice! She took the time to answer my questions schedule my appointment & get me right in! The front staff was very welcoming! I was taken back to a room within a few minutes! The dental assistant was amazing! It was very clean & convient! The x-ray machines are in the room so you don't have to go from room to room! The Dr. came right in examined my teeth & put my anxiety at ease! I was nervous because my teeth need work (from chemo smoking cigarettes & drinking soda) the Dr. was kind & reassured me that my teeth weren't that bad & that he was going to make them better! I thought it would cost a lot more than it is to have my teeth done! It is definitely affordable! I have to go back to get all the work done so I will leave a review after but I wanted to thank them for making it a pleasant experience!

Used Dr Bob. He is very attentive to your needs.

However, the staff lied to me. They changed Dr's and did not inform me. Just moved my appointment date and allowed me to see a Dr that did not even know what I was there for. When asked where Dr Bob went they (Lonnie) basically said back north to take care of a sick family member. Speaking with my dental surgeon to ensure Dr Bobs request were still good after Dr Bob left the state, I was informed he was not gone. I just found him at the old suncoast dental (now westwind) on camelback and dysart. Not going back to a location that does not place paitents first and presumably just wants the money.

Correct I saw your office on Saturday the 17th. Specifically Dr Shousha. Originally had the appointment scheduled for the 14th with Dr Bob to adjust and reline my denture. On the 13th received a phone call notifying me of the move. They did not tell me the Dr was different. Upon arrival I was blindsided with a new individual. He adjusted the denture. I appreciate your response and looking at the timeline.

Only use this dentist for cleaning. I had a tooth pulled and they left in the infected nevers and took out the good ones. I had to go to a oral surgen to get it taken care of a cost to me of $600 to fix what Doctor Bob messed up. I do not recomend this dentist.

I went here in 2018 to have my wisdom teeth pulled. Just last week I began having pain in my back left molar. Turns out, the dentist left a very large piece of wisdom tooth in my gums and never said anything. This piece began pushing against molar and I had to have it extracted, and a crown put on the last molar at 7.5 mos pregnant. It's 4 days after the extraction and now I have an infection from all the decay the dentist left behind. Being pregnant there are limited antibiotics I can take and it would have been nice if the dentist actually followed up with anything, like an xray.

Edit 1 week later: Due to the length of time the wisdom tooth piece was left in my gums, it got infection. This cause me to faint multiple times and have a seizure at 7.5mos pregnant. I had to be taken by ambulance to the ER to be checked out. They said I seized and fainted due to the pain and infection. I'm lucky I didn't get sepsis.

The staff at Suncoast dental are the best. Over the many years I've been coming here I've had cleanings, cavities filled and even teeth pulled. The staff is gentle no matter the procedure completed. The best part is they know your name!!
