I recently found myself needing braces again in my 30s, thanks to my younger self not wearing a retainer. After shopping around all the local orthodontists in Irvine, I found Dr. Tai, who exceeded all my expectations. Dr Tai is Harvard-educated, incredibly passionate about his work, and provided me with the best deal I could find. Dont waste your time looking around just go see Dr Tai. The level of care and attention to detail was outstanding. If I was having a bad day, I always felt better after seeing Dr Tai. He is so friendly and you can tell he really loves his work. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of orthodontic care. My smile has never looked better

I had the best orthodontics experience here at Tai Orthodontics. I broke my permanent retainer and they were able to squeeze me in 2 days later. Originally it was supposed to be just a consultation, but they squeezed in the removal and creation of new clear retainers in the same day. You can tell everyone there wants to help you as much as possible. Nicole made me feel welcome and helped me through any inquiries I had with insurance, payment, and timeline. Dr. Tai explained the process before and during the removal of the retainers, and also went about the procedure with much care and constantly checked in on me because my teeth were sensitive.
All around, I felt confident that I was in good care and really appreciated everyone that helped me there.

HIGHLY Recommend! My experience with Invisalign has so far been amazing! I am currently at week 12 of my treatment which means "tray 6" . Even though I am only on the six tray , I have seen quite a difference in my smile! Thanks to Dr. Tai and Dr. Chen! before I started my treatment with them, I consulted with many other orthodontists. I am so glad that I pick them. they are very professional , and patient . Dr. Tai and Chen took their time to answer all my questions. Their staffs are amazing. Their price is very reasonable. They are THE BEST. I am so pleased with my results . I highly recommend this place

I recently moved to SoCal and was recommended Dr. Tai to help fix my permanent retainers which came loose. He was kind of enough to take me in, super last minute. His office staff is super friendly, kind, courteous, and well-mannered. The office is clean, modern, and welcoming. Dr. Tai explained in detail what he was doing and kept asking me in the process how I was doing. You can definitely tell that Dr. Tai is passionate about his work. He is dedicated to providing quality care, pays attention to detail, and does it all with a smile. I had a wonderful experience at Tai Orthodontics and would highly recommend.

This review is long overdue, I was a patient of Dr. Tai’s from 2018 to 2022. Dr. Tai has made my experience getting my teeth fixed a very pleasant experience. The office atmosphere is welcoming, from great decor to the amazing staff. Speaking of other staff members, the receptionist was very kind to me and always worked with me in scheduling appointments that worked for our schedules. Dr. Tai of course has been a huge mentor to me and always advised me from a more experienced point of view. All in all, coming to Tai Orthodontics has been and continues to be a great experience for me.

I just went in for my one year retainer check after almost 4 years of braces. As an adult getting braces for the first time, it has been quite the journey. From the very beginning, customer service has been great. I felt so welcomed and cared for by the staff, particularly Espi and Nicole. Dr. Tai and his staff pivoted to adjust to the times when the pandemic hit, and I felt very safe coming in for my appointments. Dr. Tai is professional, detail-oriented, and comes up with innovative solutions as an orthodontist who is thoughtful and passionate about his work. Adult teeth can be stubborn to move so he tried different techniques during my treatment. There is even an in-house 3D printer so retainers can be printed right in the office! Dr. Tai is always open to answering any questions I might have and he'll take his time explaining in detail. I am so satisfied with my treatment results, confident smile and better oral health given it's easier to floss and clean now with straight teeth. I highly recommend this place!

I can’t believe I lost my top side retainer after all these years!! (possibly tossed it away by accident with my 3-month old’s pile of drool tissue). So I decided to find a new ortho doc since mine was made too long ago by a different doctor plus I’ve been thinking to do Invisalign since my bottom teeth started to have more gaps. Because Tai Orthodontics is closest to my house and Dr. Chen was able to take my appt on a very short notice I decided to go in for a consult. My goddess I was amazed by how advanced their machine is!! Dr. Chen was able to take a scan of my teeth and do a 3D simulation on how my teeth would become. While I was waiting in the room I also noticed their incredible Harvard credentials hanging on the wall. On top of these Dr. Chen patiently explained how the treatment would go and answered all my questions. Much better than my experience years back when my old ortho doc just rushed through my appt. Thank you Dr. Chen! I can’t wait to begin my treatment to and have pretty teeth again. I highly recommend Tai Orthodontics!!

Dr. Tai has always been great and I've always had a pleasant time in his office from him and his staff. My teeth are incredibly stubborn and moves very slowly but Dr. Tai has been very patient with me. Would definitely come back for any ortho needs in the future.
