When our seven year-old daughter began to get her permanent teeth, we knew that she is going to need braces. Having had braces myself as a teenager, I know the process of going in every month and enduring the pain and not being able to eat for a week after the braces are tightened. We wanted to choose a good orthodontist because we want our daughter to go through this only once and with the best possible outcome. An experienced orthodontist who knows what he’s doing will make a huge impact on the outcome of our daughter’s teeth. Being in the dental field myself for over 13 years, I’ve seen many cases where patients had to repeat their orthodontia because they didn’t have it done correctly the first time. Having braces is not only about getting straight teeth, but proper alignment and occlusion are all very important. We chose Dr. Tan because he is not only very knowledgeable in these areas but conscientious as well. He ultimately strives to achieve what’s best for his patients.
From our initial consultation, we were impressed. The staff at Dr. Tan’s greeted us warmly and were incredibly friendly. Alex, the treatment coordinator took our daughter in for x-rays, got down on her level and started chatting with her. During the examination, Dr. Tan explained everything clearly, how his approach would be in treating our daughter. He was very honest and stated that it would be a long process spread over time but with a successful outcome. He addressed our concerns and answered all of our questions.
We felt comfortable with Dr. Tan’s recommendations and are excited to move forward with a second appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Tan and his staff for any orthodontic needs.

I first went to Dr. Tan's office 11 years ago to get my bite fixed for purely functional reasons . Every time I had an appointment, it was like visiting old friends. Such a warm , friendly , professional environment. I was very happy with my smile after it was all done.
10 years later I am bringing my sons to Dr Tan. Much of the staff remains the same. The office is beautifully renovated and has a lot of eye appeal for adults, yet very kid friendly. The level of professionalism and perfection has made us happy that we chose to bring our sons here. They have been quite comfortable with the process and even enjoy coming to their appointments !
I would like to add that Dr. Tan and his staff are quite active in our community , giving much of their time and support to local schools and charities. That character trait always impresses me about local businesses. Go Tan Ortho !!!

Dr. Tan was very angry after I explained my teeth had been shaved before and I didn't want reshaping again because it caused pain. He basically said he can't help me and left.

We are very happy we chose Dr. Tan for Emily's orthodontist. After her first consultation, we jokingly called him the "Tooth Whisperer". He impressed us as an orthodontist who knew exactly what needed to be done, and we felt confident that he could do the job. Dr. Tan exceeded our expectations. He and his staff have created a great office environment, very positive and cheerful. They understand that this experience is a major transformational process for a teen. They are very supportive and thoughtful offering encouragement along the way. It was a pleasure working with them. Two years later, Emily has a beautiful smile and all of her orthodontic issues have been addressed...we couldn't ask for more. "Thank You" to Dr. Tan and all the great staff at Tan Orthodontics.

Our family has been with Dr. Tan for 13 years and we couldn't ask for a better provider. Three of my children have had jaw surgery and Dr. tan has made this experience for them awesome, he is very caring and involved with the surgeon. My daughter Jynelle Brillantes has had a positive experience here thanks to Dr. Tan and his staff. Dr. Tan keeps an open line of communication, always updating us on what work needs to be done. He gives a step by step process so that we are never surprised and always informed. Whenever we are in for an appointment the staff is friendly, courteous and cheerful. It is a family like atmosphere. We would absolutely recommend friends and family to Tan Orthodontics!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Tan's office for many years. I have had numerous orthodontic procedures on my mouth and I currently have braces. Tan Ortho is exceptional! The office is clean and very well designed. The staff are friendly and make an effort to ensure patients are comfortable and welcome. Dr. Tan is very good at what he does. Having seen other orthodontic offices, I can say all orthodontists should aspire to this level of professionalism.
