We recently completed an extensive home remodel with The Buckingham Group, which included nearly our entire interior—most notably, a full kitchen renovation. From the outset in January to the final touches in May, their team demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship and carpentry skills.

We first met Ed (owner of ‘The Buckingham Group’) at the Tulsa Home and Garden show but was concerned that he wouldn’t be interested in remodeling our small kitchen in Mid-Town. After visiting with him (in his booth), he convinced us that sometimes the smaller projects are some of the most rewarding. After an initial consultation, he provided a set of design plans that depicted “out of the box” innovation and creativity that maximized the space we had available.

The company was very professional in all aspects of the project from the design phase to the sub-contractors. It was definitely quality through and through. The entire project was well planned and scheduled. The Buckingham Group is detail oriented, they’re diligent about doing things the “Right Way”, they use quality sub-contractors, and they demonstrated great communication throughout the project.

From design conception to the finished project, everything was exceptional. In the end, the finished kitchen looked even better than we ever imagined it would look! After retiring, we consciously downsized from a large two story home with a basement and attic storage to a smaller one story 1953 ranch home in mid-town.
We engaged Ed Kaplan of the Buckingham group for a two-phase remodel. The first phase included an update of the master bathroom and powder room, moving the laundry area from near the garage door to the master suite location, and reconfiguring the master closet space as well as the media room to include a small office.
We agreed on the design plans and schedule. However, being an older home, problems in the guest bathroom shower as well as with the electric and roof were identified during the remodel. So a makeover of the guest bath, new roof and electric were added to the list of projects, all to be completed within the original project time frame of less than 4 months.
We were very pleased with the work and proceeded to the second phase—a remodel of the kitchen. Ed’s passion for kitchen design was evident in the many features he included in the update, turning a somewhat awkward kitchen footprint into a modern and efficient layout with ample storage, a floor to ceiling spice rack area, dedicated breakfast prep area with built in coffee machine and appliance appropriate shelving. Having seen how we actually live in our home, he also proposed extra amenities, such as a dog feeding and shower area for our two messy Labs as well as an additional home office and exercise room.
We are very happy with the results of our remodeling projects and have enjoyed working with Ed and his team at the Buckingham Group. All the work was accomplished to our complete satisfaction—Ed’s design, meticulous planning and attention to detail were wonderful. Our remodel is absolutely stunning. We are immersed each day in its calming beauty. The function of the kitchen layout is a dream with virtually endless counter top space and plenty of cabinetry available. I can stand in one spot and turn in a 360 degree range with the ability to access everything I need to prepare our meals. Functionality at its best is bringing enjoyment at its fullest. Our smoothie station with two Vitamix blenders and a fruit press offer open shelves for an easy reach for fresh fruit and then simply turn around where a cupboard with slide outs store our shake cups and daily vitamins. The living room, with its modern sophistication, draws us from the open kitchen to our lovely 60 inch electric fireplace surrounded by gorgeous quartzite stone. With the colorful fireplace flame selections and the backlit floating shelves adjacent, any mood setting can be achieved and enjoyed. Complementing those areas, our remodeled master bathroom is truly a spa experience upon waking and winding down each day. The Buckingham Group team has set our home apart with a luxury that can be appreciated throughout our main living space.

2024 Project: Dean Master Bath and Master Closet demolition and remodel

Having worked a 40-year career in Oil and Gas processing I have a lot of experience in project management, planning, and construction execution. Ed Kaplan and Buckingham Group are the best I personally have ever experienced. Ed and team utilize project management tools I had experienced within major corporate projects. I was shocked to get this level of planning and execution leadership for a residential home remodel job. Documentation, reporting, design and drawings are exceptional. Beginning with the first orientation meeting with Ed, we immediately knew we were dealing with professionals. Ed listened to our dreams for a unique master bath and closet upgrade, then went to work with his team to design the perfect project with extraordinary attention to detail. Before a nail was pulled, we could see the project in its entirety with confidence it would be completed on time and on budget.
Equally impressive is Buckingham’s construction crew. Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, and many others are the best in their field. We always knew our home and its security were in good hands. Pride in their work is evident in final product and the minimal issues faced as “bumps in the road”. Ed and team caught most challenges before I ever noticed and corrected them in addition to always keeping us in the loop with exceptional communication.
Another notable difference in our project is the quality of material and appliances. I didn’t have to instruct the team on using high quality products, it’s their standard procedure.
