A few years ago, I became a patient of Dr. Silvan Finkel at his dental office in NYC. I have found his professionalism, kindness, and honesty to be outstanding.

By his honesty, I mean that if Dr. Finkel doesn’t know what to do, he not only discusses the situation with me in an exhaustive way, but he also invites a specialist to his office to take care of my problem, so I don’t need to look by myself for this kind of person.

Also, what I have never experienced in any other office except Dr. Finkel’s is the sharing with me all that he plans to do, and explaining what he is doing while he does it, as well as informing me about what persons will be assisting him during the procedure.

All of this builds a specialist atmosphere in thesis dental office. It is a special place, not just an ordinary dental office.

I've been going to Dr. Finkel since 2018, have since moved across the country, and still come to NYC to see him for any/all dental concerns. He's the only person I would trust with my teeth. He never pushes anything cosmetic (and will, in fact, discourage you from anything that he doesn't genuinely believe is right for you). He has great clinical judgment and has never led me astray.

I have been a patient of Dr. Finkle for many years and have always received the best of care. Recently, Dr. Finkle created a costomized plan for me for 18 crowns. The results changed my smile and my confidence about my looks. The process involved great artistic talent and choices, all of which involved me, Dr. Finkle’s ceramicist, and Dr. Finkle. The two are the Michelangelos of dentistry. They worked on creating a natural look both in the shape and color of my teeth. I am so thankful I walked into the Dental Parlour and inquired about crowns and veneers. Even at that first walk in Dr Finkel took the time to listen to my concerns and expressed confidence in reshaping my smile. As someone born with a cleft palate, I’ve spent my whole life navigating the challenges of facial surgery, orthodontics, and dentist visits; often feeling self-conscious about my smile and struggling with functionality of speech and eating. As a kid, decades ago, I had numerous procedures and interventions but also accepted that I would never have a ‘perfect’ smile since I was missing a tooth from birth. People always said I had a nice smile but I still saw the flaws. After my retainer broke and my teeth shifted, changing my speech, I finally committed both mentally and financially to the process of Invisalign and then cosmetic crowns and veneers.

The whole team at the Dental Parlour was a delight to work with and made me feel comfortable and cared for each step of the process. What really made the difference was Dr Finkel and his attention to detail, craftsmanship, and enthusiasm for his work. It was my desire to avoid dental implants and honestly I was apprehensive about any cosmetic dental procedure given my cleft palate journey. He understood my unique challenges and came up with a customized plan that met my cosmetic concerns in the most minimally invasive way and worked within my financial considerations. Dr Finkel meticulously explained every part of the process and was relentless in perfecting my smile. He assessed both the temporary and final results from every angle to ensure the best possible outcome. His skillful dental ceramicist created 2 veneers and 2 crowns that look incredibly natural and blend perfectly with my smile. More importantly the two crowns filled the space of the missing tooth while blending together in a natural looking smile.

Before I walked into the Dental Parlour my smile looked good enough and I wasn’t entirely committed to the process of this change but I can honestly say if you ever felt your smile had flaws I am confident that Dr Finkel and his team will meet your expectations. Dr. Finkel has transformed not just my smile, but my confidence, and given me a sense of completeness from a lifelong birth defect. Now I no longer have a ‘good side’ in pictures but a great smile from any angle.

First , they suggested a CT scan to assure the best review of care plan that is right specifically for me , which other dentists don’t suggest or do , I’m so happy I had this done.

I now find this scan to be so important as it is giving the most advanced visibility of the way to proceed with treatments and procedures,
Instead of the old X-rays way to plan your dental care.

I have done an extraction AND an implant both on the same procedure at this clinic .

( even know everyone suggested me to not go this route , and do two procedures to allow recovery of 3 months of the area ..)

I am so happy I did both procedures on the same day as why to wait if advanced techniques and professional surgeons are able to now a day do it on the same procedure?!? - highly recommended to do both at same time if approved by dentist.

The surgeon was the best doctor I have ever experienced ( had 4 extractions done prior to this one )

I was relaxed and actually meditated and the music in the room was so pleasant throughout the full 2 hours of my visit

some minor swollen area for 24 hours and was back to work the next day eating almost normally on my other side of the mouth.

I find this unbelievable , as my previous extractions were the worst pain of my life for days and recovery took so long.

Best clinic ever !!! Highly recommended and I can’t wait to finish my full mouth care plan at this clinic
