Finding a great care in dentistry can be so hard! I was so blessed to have found Dr. Shelton and his team to help me get my health back. I had a failed root canal that got infected, and Dr. Shelton and his office spent the time to guide me through deciding on what would be the best course of action. I ended up deciding to have my tooth extracted. I don't know how others feel about dental care, but an extraction surgery as an adult can make one super nervous. It made me nervous. I opted for the IV sedation and was so glad I did. The surgery was painless, and the post surgery healing was as painless. I had maybe mild sensations for the first two days after surgery, still took some pain pills, but breezed through everything. I am so very grateful I found Dr. Shelton. I even travelled 2.5 hrs to the office, and would not choose otherwise if I had to do it again. They are extremely kind, friendly, and will listen to all your needs, and worries. Thanks, Dr. Shelton and team for helping me resolve something that was so scary at first!

I came to Dr. Shelton for two wisdom teeth extractions at the beginning of the year. Despite the obvious discomfort that comes with such a procedure, my whole experience with Dr. Shelton and his team was a pleasure from beginning to end. Dr. Shelton did an amazing job with my 14-year-old son. He was very nervous about being put to sleep for surgery to remove an impacted baby tooth that couldn’t be extracted by a regular dentist. The procedure required surgery, and Dr. Shelton and the team made the entire process seamless. All of my questions were answered, and my son’s recovery was incredible—he experienced no pain afterward. The team even followed up to check on his progress. It was definitely worth every penny spent. Highly recommend!

They took me in quickly when I had a last minute issue as I was leaving New York and couldn’t get my tooth extracted before I left for CA. Dr. Koshgarian was the best. He was smart, reassuring and took the time to explain the procedure and answer all my questions. The extraction and aftermath were painless and problem free. His staff is wonderful, kind and helpful. Really impressive. I wish I could see him back home in NY if I ever needed him again.

The entire staff was kind and helpful, they made sure that I felt comfortable with them and the procedure. They were very polite and professional; I didn’t doubt my safety one bit. I needed a root removed that was left in my gum when my wisdom tooth was extracted by my old dentist. I was a little apprehensive when my new dentist refereed me to The Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Specialists of San Diego. After meeting Dr. Shelton and his staff I felt good about allowing them to complete the procedure.
