They made me wait 2 weeks for my scheduled appointment, mind you I have abscessed tooth with a large hole and it hurts like crazy and I told them that . So they rescheduled me until another 2 weeks because supposedly there wasn’t another doctor so therefore that would be a whole month by the time my FIRST appointment came and now it’s another excuse of “oh the doctor isn’t taking medical anymore” . So I waited a month for them just to tell me they can’t take me anoymore , mind you I had those 2 scheduled appointments within that month n never got seen ! This whole time I’ve could’ve had my tooth fixed by another dentist within a month they gave me bullshit and pain to deal with longer!!!

Please don’t go here. They don’t read your chart and dr will hurt you because he doesn’t know what he’s doing. I have high blood pressure and it was under control but dr Dhami poked my lip and then asked me if I have high blood pressure because he failed to check my chart. He was supposed to check it before he gave me the shots which raises blood pressure and it went up 179/110 because he made me panic cause he was. He gave me shots for no reason. Because he didn’t give treatment and at that point I didn’t even want him to dr Dhami is a bad dr. He also gave me shots with out numbing me so I felt every shot and he damaged a never he poked me in the middle of my mouth which now I have pain from the middle of my mouth up my face to my head. Please please beware. I am now Seeking a lawyer

The dentist and hygentist were great!
The office staff is terrible. So unprofessional, forgetful, and rude. Didn’t bother to verify my benefits that were provided two weeks in advance when I made the appointment. Lied to me and told me she couldn’t verify over the phone and that she had to request availity access which takes hours not weeks.. I used to work in medical billing and used availty and phone verification with Premera and BCBS daily… she forgot to run them I’m assuming then tried to cover herself. Then when I showed up asked me if I have insurance and quoted me as a self-pay patient because they couldn’t figure out how to run my insurance. I had to show the office manager my insurance portal on my phone, find out if they were in network, and then sign a form saying I could be responsible for my full visit even with insurance.. This pushed my appointment time an hour later than it was originally for. I needed fillings so I was waiting to hear from them on what my insurance would cover for those fillings didn’t get a response for over two weeks so I called and asked they said they hadn’t gotten a chance to look at it. They told me they would call me back Monday. Tuesday I still had not received a call so I followed up. They told me they didn’t have time Monday. They were too busy. Then told me they still hadn’t gotten around to it and they would give me a call back when they could. They had time to process my claim so they could get paid for my cleaning within days, and ask me how much my insurance paid them when I called because she couldn’t see. I immediately switched dentist because I’m not going to continue to wait for them to do their job. Terrible experience would not recommend at all. It’s sad because the actual dentist was great. Highly recommend getting an office manager that’s familiar with technology, customer service, or a calendar... For reference my appointment was June 17th and I called back to check on this July 5th, was supposed to get a call back the 8th and then called again the 9th and decided to switch to another dentist.

You guys…. This dental office is amazing!! Great customer service and Jose is the BEST 😊 Always clean and very courteous. Coming from western dental $10,000 later and still needing work done, to this place. I have no words and can’t wait to finally have my smile back 🥹

I have been afraid of the dentist my whole life. It's been over 10 years since I've been to the dentist. Last time I had a seizure on the chair, t don't do dentist. This place made the best experience possible and totally changed my mind I've been in for root canals, cleaning, deep cleaning, crowns, fillings lol the works, and each time have been so impressed. The whole staff from simple phone call reminders to scheduling to back of the house assistants are amazing. Jose at front desk always brings a smile. Andrea is most helpful and gives off wholesome vibes. Defiantly will be keeping all my appointments. Thank you RVD

My first suggestion is that the friendly folks at River Valley Dental write up a very concise and easy-to-understand set of directions to help new patients find their clinic. I was not the only patient that day who had trouble finding the location, even with the help of a smartphone navigator and the new receptionist.

Once I finally arrived I found the clinic to be clean and staffed by friendly professionals. I did not have to wait long to begin my exam.

I understand that every staff member is new at one time, but some responsibilities should be performed under the guidance of a senior staff person for reasons of health and safety. I had close to 25 X-rays taken just to capture 4 or 5 that were usable. The person performing the duty, bless her sweet heart, received little to no help from other more experienced staff. The most usable pictures were the ones in which I held the film in place with my fingers while she maneuvered the very heavy handheld camera. I've had massive amounts of X-rays taken over the years due to head trauma, multiple broken bones, and ongoing dental issues. (THREE full sets of dental X-rays in the last two months!) For years I’ve suffered from occasional Migraine headaches. But for the last two years, it's been an almost weekly affair. The worst ones last for days. They are brutal and merciless. Are they from head trauma, excessive X-ray radiation, or ongoing dental problems? Probably all of the above.

With the X-rays finally completed, I was introduced to a young and confident, Dr. Z. Dr. S was not in the office that day.
After he examined the sad state of affairs in my mouth, I was informed that the clinic could not put me under sedation with General Anesthesia to remove all of my teeth for dentures. I would need a referral to an Oral Surgeon. Wait. What? OR I could come back another day to have my three, still highly infected teeth removed under local anesthetic. And then return for another three visits to remove the rest, ALL under local anesthesia. Eventually, they would fit me for dentures.

I live over an hour away from the clinic. This is the THIRD dentist I have driven two hours of RT to have these teeth removed; only to find out that I have to come back for one OR MORE additional visits. This is as much my fault for not asking direct questions to the clinic as it is the fault of Medi-Cal Dental for giving me bad information. I asked repeatedly for them to provide me a list of clinics that can do a General and get it done quickly. It is hard to think clearly when one is suffering from extraordinary tooth pain and a Migraine headache simultaneously. And here I sit typing, still suffering from these bad teeth, fighting the urge to find a pair of pliers and a bottle of whiskey.

This place does good work, and the staff are pleasant to be around. The only downside is it takes a while to get beyond the waiting area even with an appointment. My longest wait was over an hour. I thought there was another dentist during my first two appointments, but haven’t seen her since.
