Best Veterinary care and facilities we have found in three states over 17 years! Our pups have been receiving veterinary care here for over 8 years and have had everything from snake bite recovery, knee surgeries, dental work, regular wellness visits and various illness treatments all with excellent results. Our oldest pup, 17 year old JRT, is going strong principally due to the care he receives here. Our 13 year loves it here too!

Best emergency vet in the Sacramento area!

They saved our 11 year old Great Dane Beyoncé’s life after she stole a steak off the counter. This steak had a Bluetooth thermometer that she swallowed with the steak.

They not only got us in right away, but were able to do the procedure in a matter of hours at a more affordable cost. My family is beyond grateful for this vet and highly recommended them to anyone in the Sacramento area!

VCA Loomis Basin is the best vet in our area, especially emergency services. They are open 24/7. I have been taking my dogs there for years. The staff are friendly, caring, and they listen really well. They have provided excellent care to my animals on many occasions. They may be a little more expensive than some of the other local vets, but their care is far above the rest in my experience. Having a cheap vet has never been my priority, as my animals are my family and deserve the best care possible. ❤️

This place is a gem and we just loved having Dr.Rensing see our boy Chief. She was very knowledgeable and kind and genuinely cared about our boy.

With an entire facility ready to deal with anything that might come up this is definitely our permanent spot to go for our boys.

Brought our chihuahua/yorkie that wasn't eating for a couple of days and was acting weak. The staff was very kind and helpful. The doctor gave us our options with no pressure and we committed how much we could afford. We didn't do the whole recommendation and luckily everything they did was enough to turn the symptoms around. It took a couple of days to recovery but eventually she was fine and is not doing great. Thank you for being there for our family member.

Exceptional. My dogs love it here! They pull me to go in, they can’t wait to go visit! Even my puppy who’s now 4 months old recognizes Dr. Faulkner and is sooo excited to see her! I have experienced few other vet places, most really great, one not so great, but VCA Loomis is fantastic. I love that they have 24h service, they have many specialists in house. They offer many great services that other vets don’t. But I love the care they have provided for my dogs over the last 20 years. We love Dr. Faulkner, she is soooo knowledgeable, really listens, is very attentive, loving and caring.
