Absolutely avoid this vet. The staff and doctors and friendly and nice but they will lock you into 1 year care club contracts and dishonestly charge you. I brought my dog in as she was due for a few vaccinations and my care club was about to expire (which covers for those vaccinations). I made sure that the appointment was few days in advance of appointment. When they brought the authorization charges out to me, I asked the tech if they were covered and she confirmed they would be. However when I checked out, the front desk informed me that her vaccinations were not covered since my care club had already expired. I explained the situation and informed them that I would not have made the appointment so late and would not have authorized the vaccinations if I had known I would have had to pay out of pocket for them. The desk person said she would have to speak to management but said I could leave and they would follow up. Now several weeks later, they are charging me for the same vaccinations without any explanation. This is the reason why I am ending both of my pets care club and finding a new vet. Oh and by the way, they never sent any notices my pets vaccinations were due so I wouldn't have used them anyways if I hasn't called myself,yet they were charging me monthly. Stay away from this dishonest and shameful business.

This place is a scam!!

I recently visited this veterinary hospital for a simple follow-up vaccination for my pet, but the experience was far from straightforward. Although it was supposed to be a routine vaccination, I was unexpectedly charged for a full examination that was never disclosed to me upfront. This felt like a deliberate attempt to upcharge and take advantage of pet owners who trust them with their pets’ well-being.

When I questioned the hidden charges, the assistant’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional. Rather than addressing my concerns, the Asian lady assistant abruptly left, angrily slammed the door, and made me feel completely disrespected. The manager later returned, claiming it was ‘procedure’ to do a follow-up exam, yet when I asked why this wasn’t done for my other cat during the same type of visit, they had no clear answer and seemed to be making things up on the spot.

During a previous visit with my other kitten, someone simply took her in for the vaccination and returned her to me without any additional examination or hidden fees, which made this situation even more frustrating and inconsistent.

It’s disappointing that this hospital appears to lure clients in with the promise of care, only to impose extra fees without consent. Transparency and respect should be fundamental in any business, especially when it comes to caring for our pets. I would strongly advise others to be cautious, ask questions upfront, and honestly, to consider other options.

Dr. Elliott is the best cat vet! We have been taking our cats to him for over 10 years at VCA Marina. Great animal care, organized, cost transparent, and clean. The front desk staff is lovely too.

Best Vet on the westside. They got us in with less than 4 hour notice to do the international travel check up and travel documents for France. It was hassle free with great staff and doctor. Thanks to them Georgie was able to spent his summer in France with his cousin.

We came in first thing Monday morning, 7am without an appointment. We were initally told he could not be seen until 8:20a but they saw us earlier. We were seen by the doctor and out by 7:40am with medication in hand. They awesome and helpful. All the staff was friendly and caring of our little pup.
