Hidden Gem!!! Extremely professional and best of all not pushy when it comes to recommended follow up treatments. I’ve been a patient since 2018. Avoid the driving if you live in DTLA. Swing by and check it out. You will see what I am talking about. #LocalBusiness #dtla

They helped me with an emergency on the same day I called, they were very understanding, attentive and quick with the job. The price was fair.

I hadn't been to a dentist in a couple years, due to a bad experience. I finally had the courage to go see a dentist and my wife introduce me Dr. Alessandra, I can't begin to say how grateful I am.

From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed (thanks to the receptionist!). There's a nice cozy feel to the office.

Once you're in the dreaded "chair" Dr. Alessandra and her team of hygienists make sure you feel comfortable a ready. They are clear to communicate what they are doing and pause when the occasional break is necessary. For those looking for a distraction during longer sessions they even have headsets paired with Netflix!

Personally I had a lot to be done, cavities, crown and cleaning. All it took was two visits and were near painless and they reached out to me after each appointment to see how I was doing. In addition, Dr. Alessandra was also concerned with other aspects of my oral health and helped me create new routines and action plans to help prevent further damage in the future.

The hygienist I had was great. She took her time and wasn't rough with me.
Dr. Alessandra is seriously the best! To the way she went over my teeth with me and just chatting. She really helped me have an enjoyable experience!
After my first cleaning in 2 years I was surprisingly looking forward to the next time I would be in the office. Never thought I'd say that!

Just an amazing office overall!!!

The worst experience with a dentist I've ever had in my 63 years, or ever heard of, by far! I really don't understand all these great reviews about her, which by the way, misled me in the beginning into becoming her new patient. If I could give her 0 stars, I would. Perhaps other new patients are drawn to her practice from her nice photos of at least 17 years prior, posted on her online profile..

Everything started 3 years ago when I went there with a broken and decayed tooth, (only about 20% of it was left). She suggested a root canal and a crown on it, instead of an implant, so I followed her advice. The crown she put on my destroyed tooth, broke completely into 2 pieces, without any reason, less than 3 years after she installed it! Never in my life have I heard of a crown breaking so easily after such a short time, anywhere in the world, never mind in America in the 21st century!

To begin with, she shouldn't have suggested a crown (for my destroyed tooth) ,when she first installed it 3 years prior. She should have suggested an implant instead, which not only is much stronger and durable, it was also much cheaper and doesn't need a root canal. Root canals are very expensive plus very lengthy and uncomfortable (often painful too).

On the appointment I made recently, 3 years after she had installed my defective crown, she replaced it and I thanked her for that. However, I also told her that I wanted my money back for that crown because of 2 reasons: 1. I initially followed her wrong diagnosis to do a crown instead of an implant, trusting her advice and work, which ended up costing me much more money, time and discomfort, than an implant. 2. In addition, at the same time, she recommended another root canal and crown for another destroyed tooth of mine, instead of an implant, so I again followed her wrong advice and I did the second root canal. The total cost to me: $1,100 (root canal on same tooth) + $550 (partial root canal on second tooth she recommended), + $1,462 for the crown I paid her = $ 3,312 (my total cost) for a defective crown that should have never been installed and broken in less than 3 years for no reason! I ended up having an excellent implant with another dentist for the second tooth for only $2,200 total cost for the entire implant and job, which included the crown, abutment and titanium post. So the $550 root canal she recommended on that second tooth was also completely useless and unnecessary! So she cost me more than double my money for a lousy product and for more time and discomfort! Very possibly for her lousy job too. I still have that implant with absolutely no problems nor any discomfort.

In a separate incident, concerning another tooth (a third tooth), although I did not mention this issue to her because she became angry, insulting and aggressive to me after asking her for my money back, she also did a very ambiguous filling job on another one of my teeth, right before installing the crown 3 years ago. She said that one of my upper teeth in the very back has a cavity and needs an immediate filling. I asked to see it but she said it is impossible to see because it was all the way in the back, hidden! I honestly do not remember seeing an x-ray on it, but even if she had shown me one, I wouldn't be able to understand it fully since I am not a dentist. I do remember absolutely no pain or discomfort in that tooth, so I sincerely doubt it needed a filling. Nevertheless, I followed her advice again and did the filling, costing me another $240. I really believe she lied in order to get the money from that job too.

This dentist, Alessandra Raschkovsky, is a fraud and she only cares about money and not her patients. I have already filed an official complaint about her with the Dental Board of California.

I've always had a good experience at Zen Dental. Dr. Alessandra is very nice, thorough, and makes sure you get good care. They're good about making sure you're thoroughly numbed when drilling--there's no need to feel anything. The office is clean, staff are friendly, and they always remember you and there is rarely a wait when you have an appointment.
