Haven't been to the dentist in years and my first experience back was phenomenal! My hygienist was very nice, professional, and attentive to details! She is very knowledgeable and didn't seem to mind explaining the small details of every step. That meant a lot to me. But, only after I was greeted by an awesome office staff. From start to finish it was a great experience!!! I'll be back again and have already recommended them to my family and friends.

I had a tooth break and had to see another Dr. at my dentist's office... I was totally surprised when this "YOUNG" man came in....He was new to me.....Dr. Church and his assistant, Kathryn, They were so nice and I was completely satisfied with the service I received. My regular dentist is out of the office a lot so I am so glad to know and feel comfortable with a new doctor.in that office My dentist office has the friendliest staff and eager to help and please patients. I am totally satisfied with all of them.

I'd have to say they are professional, kind, attentive and very informative. They can work with you financially and care about you as a patient. Making sure you are comfortable, checking and double check, triple checking prep before a procedure begins and covering their bases. An outstanding team!

I'll be honest. I have (for years) dreaded trips to the dentist. The constant berating of not flossing, always trying to be up sold some service I'm not interested in. I avoided the dentist for 4 years because of negative experiences. Then I realized whether I liked it or not I had to go and get a check up or risk losing my teeth later in life. I visited Gardendale Family Dentistry and could not have had a more pleasant experience. The nurse was kind, encouraging and incredibly helpful with my questions. The doctor was efficient, kind and very insightful into helping me with my oral care. I will absolutely be back and am actually excited about my next visit in 6 months! Thank you GFD!

I am one who is a bit nervous when going to the dentist. I had broken a molar and went to have it pulled. Meredith was very patient with me and helped ease my mind when I was getting scared and nervous. It was a tough one to get out and Doc and Meredith were both very patient when I was about ready to just give up and decide to leave it in. The staff was great and I was surprised at how quickly I was called back to the room. Meredith even called my boss to let him know I could not come in that day after the procedure. I will definitely use them for my future dental needs!

I had a very bad experience using this dentist. I wanted to find a dentist closer to where I live after moving, so I gave this dentist a try. I really liked my old dentist, but it was in Leeds which was a long drive for me.

SHORT VERSION: I went to this dentist having never had any issues with my teeth. This dentist did some work on my teeth and I have hurt every day since.

LONG DETAILED VERSION: I went in for a cleaning which was really no different than anywhere else. After the cleaning the dentist told me that i would need to come in for another appointment. He said I had 2 cavities on the left side and 3 cavities on the right. That should have raised a red flag with me right off, since I have always taken very good care of my teeth and I had no discomfort or anything with them. . Also, my previous dentist didn't seem to think there were any possible concerns with cavities. I went ahead and made the appointment for the following week.

My appointment for fillings was scheduled for 4:00 pm. The dentist did not see me until almost 6:00. I understand that there are delays sometimes, but this seemed a little extreme. Since I had already been there so long, I asked him to just do the side that needed 2 cavities.

For days after the appointment my teeth hurt. I had a filling before and I didn't even notice it the next day from my previous dentist. I called and asked them if the pain was normal and they said yes. Years later and those teeth still bother me when I eat on that side. Another thing I noticed is how big the filling was. I basically have half of a tooth now.

When it was time for my 6 month cleaning I made an appointment with my old dentist and had him to take a look. He took new x-rays and determined that I did NOT need the 3 fillings on the right side. He also determined that the fillings I had done caused hairline fractures in those teeth and I was going to have problems with them down the road and would need them fixed. In his opinion from the older x-rays, I probably shouldn't have needed the 2 fillings I received.

There is no way I would ever recommend this dentist office to another person. For a cleaning maybe, but that's all. It is my opinion that I never needed those 2 teeth filled. Thank God I went and got a 2nd opinion on the other 3 he said needed fillings.

I see many other positive reviews for this dentist. I wonder though if any of those people have actually received a 2nd opinion when they have been told they have cavities.

I was a little skeptical at first. The office seemed older and small from the road... but the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and professional! Both my kids loved it there as well! I highly recommend trying them!
