My parents have been under Dr.Shen’s care for many years now. They switched to Dr.Shen’s office by their friend’s referral. Their friends have always spoke highly of Dr.Shen and when my mother’s gum condition deteriorated, leading her to losing a few teeth, she felt her dentist was not being proactive and helping her combat the gum disease. Once my mom started going to Dr.Shen’s office, her understanding of gum disease have led her to take better care of her oral health. Dr.Shen spend a lot of time educating her about the cause and most importantly how to improve her oral hygiene! He advised her that what she does everyday is the most important. Dr.Shen’s advice and guidance really helped and motivated my mother to improve her brushing and flossing techniques! Now my father is also under Dr.Shen’s care. Thank you so much Dr.Shen for taking good care of my family.

Very bad experience. The doctor was impatient, and did not discuss with me my history or his diagnosis etc at all. Looked at my X-ray for 10 sec, measured my gum pockets, and then just gave me a generic $5000 treatment plan and a 5 min lecture on how to brush my teeth.

They also told me that they are in network when I booked the appointment, but after the appointment they told me that they just moved out of network and that less than 10 minute appointment costs >$200.

To me this feels like a place that prioritizes making money and does not care about patients or their experience. Go somewhere else.

Though he is a specialist for surgical procedures, I find myself preferring to come here even for regular clean-ups. I am one of many who absolutely hate the dentist. However, I find that the equipment and staff at this dental office make it a little more bearable. I can tell their equipment is newer because it hurts less and sounds less like a chainsaw massacre. The professionalism and manner of the staff is great. Dr. Shen himself is a nice guy and takes a patient-first approach to his work. When asked, he thoroughly explained his actions and procedures and made me feel at ease. Patient and skilled. I feel like I can trust the guy and have yet to leave my appointments with a bad taste in my mouth aside from the fluoride coating. Can't say the same for many other establishments. To sum it up this place has modern equipment, well trained staff, a cozy office and a good dentist at the head of it all.

Dr. Shen is very nice and patient. I was sent by my general dentist and was expecting to find out about more issues with my gums requiring attention. He said that my situation is within normal limits. He also showed the correct cleaning technique and discussed problems with the Oral-b electric toothbrush. There was a hiccup with his reception staff (they sent me a correct link for filing forms just 2 hours before the appointment), but he handled this issue professionally and I am happy with the service overall.

Dr. Shen is hands down the most warm, gentle, careful dentist I know. He and his staff are so kind, thoughtful, and professional. He's not only very skilled dentist, but he's a great person as well. I started going to him regularly just because of how personable he was and there was never any pain when getting my teeth cleaned because of how gentle he was. He also wanted me to understand where some of my potential problem areas were and instructed me how to effectively clean it. If I didn't understand something he would bring out models to help me understand. Overall I would 110% recommend my friends and family to see Dr. Shen.

Dr. Shen is an amazing periodontist, and very friendly! He has treated myself as well as my family and I can say that he does excellent work whether it is cleanings, implants, extractions, or gum surgery. The service is wonderful, the staff are great and the office is so conveniently located! I am very satisfied and glad to know I have a periodontist I can go to.

Dr. Shen was excellent! Very thorough, professional, and helpful. I didn't feel pressured to get unnecessary dental work and my cleaning didn't send shivers down my spine like it usually does. While I don't usually enjoy going to the dentist, Dr. Shen's office was welcoming and comfortable--but the massage chair in the waiting area may have something to do with it. Definitely recommend.

Can't say enough about this office! My 91 year old mother had an infected tooth. They squeezed her in at 5pm on a Saturday; Dr. Shen evaluated her and ended up extracting the tooth for her at the appointment. He is very knowledgeable and skilled, and does not do more than what is necessary. The office is very well run and the staff is always kind, courteous and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Shen and his staff.
