I do not recommend them at all!!! I was given a quote of what I would pay out of pocket after I gave them my insurance information which was $380. She was very clear when she said that is all I would have to pay. I just received a bill of $871!! The ladies up front do not know what they are doing! They also don’t give you a dental plan. They just tell you this is what we are going to do and this is what you’re going to pay. A bunch of scammers! I do not recommend this place at all. Although I will say the Dr. was very pleasant to speak with. You can tell he cares about his patients and loves to conversate but the front desk people do NOT know what they are doing. I am calling this place in the morning to get this figured out. This is a very unpleasant experience and would not want anybody else to go through this

When I tell you that this was a nightmare I mean it. I needed debridement around my implant due to retained cement. I got to my appointment and I looked the nurse in the eyes as she started an IV on me with no gloves on and told her not to, she proceeded to then stick it in my arm, gloveless. I usually don’t let things get to me but this shook me up, I almost ripped it out of my arm and left but I didn’t for some reason and now I wish that I had. Now my dental implant looks like absolute crap. You can see the implant in my mouth, I am too afraid to get myself worked on again. Do not go here. If someone refers you to this place choose another dentist.

I wanted to say that I had my first (serious) oral surgery today . I had to have an implant done, I had been putting it off for about twenty years. Our friend Dr. Matt Loeb assured me that it would not be bad at all. I was very scared and very nervous . Today, Dr. Loeb and his staff were wonderful . My experience was very smooth and pain free. I did general anesthesia with my surgery and didn’t feel a thing. I wanted to just say , if you are needing any oral surgery done and are scared. Please go see Dr. Loeb !

Best doctors here, best services, very responsible. After surgery i called them and they were very concerned and asked to visit them immediately and didn’t charge for it. Very cooperative and understanding. No long queue for appointments. 100000% recommended!

Go to Birmingham!!!
I went to Birmingham seeking a second opinion and immediately felt heard and cared for and drastically cheaper.

I've made several calls to UOFS, expecting to receive an update after the doctor was unable to perform the procedure. He told my mom that he should have examined my mouth before putting me to sleep. However, instead of addressing the issue, they made sure to send me a bill for sedation. I had hoped that the doctor would take responsibility for putting me to sleep without examining me, especially since he admitted his mistake to my mom. I've been patient and given a lot of grace since I know times are difficult. At this point, I'm still waiting for my refund for paying for the procedure in full. The receipt of the sedation bill was the final straw for me. My procedure was on February 20…

I keep calling and continue to get the runaround, or I'm told someone will call me back, but no one does. It's incredibly frustrating at this point.

There is no need to make a generic excuse to call someone. I've called many times and experienced what others have said below. I want my full refund to move on from this terrible experience.

Go to Birmingham.

Went here for a TMJ consultation with Dr Loeb. They never mentioned a CT scan was required to properly assess TMJ.

As we walked back, the nurse, told me I must have a CT scan. The nurse, clearly, became annoyed.

I the spoke with Dr Loeb. I informed him I would not, because I was going to have a CT scan the same day, at the ENTs office.

I am rather sure that insurance would question covering two CT scans in one day. Which is obviously would be a financial issue.

He did not know what to say or really handle the situation. He advised it was part of their diagnostic process.

I, again, told them I would not.

It’s interesting that he would not offer any type of advice/treatment/assessment without a CT scan.

CT scans haven’t always been around. He could have at least tried to assess the situation, without needing a CT scan.

All this is to say, he could not handle the refusal of the CT scan. He made no effort to work around a solvable problem and refused to do anything else.

In what world do two CT scans, the same day, sound necessary or appropriate.

I will say, one nurse, did get them to refund my copay. So, that is one positive in this interesting event.

A simple solution would have been for me to get the ENT scan, get a copy of the scan and reschedule the TMJ appointment for another day.

I could have done this, sure. It’s more a matter or principal, refusal of any assessment without a “have to” scan.

I’m sure it’s a great place, but working around unusual refusals was not a strong point today.
