I visited Crystal Beach for the first time this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The beach is clean, nice and well organized even when it gets busy. I really liked that you can park your car right next to where you set up your things instead of leaving it far in the back like at other Texas beaches. From time to time trucks pass by selling things like shrimp cocktail and shaved ice, which makes the experience even better. I tried the shrimp cocktail and it was delicious. For amenities, there are portable restrooms as well as some cleaner options available. The highlight for me was the sunset, absolutely beautiful and worth staying for.

The beaches were very beautiful, I loved the sand. It wasn't super crowded.
It's nice that you can actually drive on the beach, if you want to do that you have to have a ticket for it.
We got ours for free after spending so much money at one of the stores in town.
Will definitely be back.

Be sure to get a parking pass at a convenience store/gas station before pulling in the entrance (It's randomly checked). Beach was clean w good sand packing for easy driving. Restrooms are far. We drove to the service center to rinse off and use the restroom s. It was good because you could be next to your car.

My grandparents have lived here my whole life. Great place, great people. This place always makes me happy! Though I will say during summer and holidays the beach does get really crowded but it's the norm! And makes it more fun in my opinion!

What I like about this beach is the ability to stay overnight and drive up and down. Fun seeing the people go by. We stay in our little RV right on the beach for the cost of a yearly annual pass of $10 or $5 on sale. So much easier than renting a house or hooking up to an RV parking lot. But we are self sufficient.

Not many beaches allow you to camp for 2 weeks on the the actual beach.

We were not alone. This picture i took on 2nd day when people haven't arrived yet.

Definitely come try it out.

Take the ferry from Galveston, go to the beach, drive onto the beach and enjoy the surf. Pack a lunch and dont forget the dill pickles! You'll need the sodium for hydration! Have fun!!

Free boondocking (must have sticker if parking a vehicle, cost $10 for year) and campfires allowed (just make sure to fill it when done). Very chill location and people are spread out, just pack out when leaving, there are plenty of trash cans avaliable.

I only drove through crystal beach, stopped for about 15 mins and absolutely fell in love. There were so many seashells, the water was amazing and it was not full of tourists đŸĨ°đŸĨ°
